AKLAN | Sunset View Restobar Buffet Review ~ Boracay’s Cheapest Lunch Buffet
[FOOD TRIP] Monday, May 01, 2023One sunny day in Boracay found us looking for the cheapest buffet we could find at Boracay White Beach. We actually saw a ₱250.00 buffet, but found their selection to be too carinderia. I mean, we like carinderia food and we’ve actually eaten some of the most affordable food in Boracay, but we wanted something else for our buffet—perfectly roasted, juicy, and tender pork liempo, specifically.
We thought of going to Andok’s instead, one of the cheapest places to eat on in Boracay, but a single serving of their liempo costs more than a hundred pesos—that’s quite expensive for multiple orders. After much walking, we eventually found the best restaurant that suited our craving, Sunset View Restobar’s lunch buffet.
People go to Boracay to rest and relax. And one definite aspect of this is food. Boracay has tons of places to eat out on, but for most vacationers, the pinnacle of a Boracay food trip is by trying at least one buffet lunch or dinner by the beach. And Boracay does not disappoint, the island probably has the most concentration of buffet restaurants in the Philippines in a single area.
Featured here are the complete list of buffet restaurants in Boracay that are available for walk-ins, that means everyone on the island (since there are buffets that are only for in-house guests), listed from the most affordable to the most expensive. If I missed something, let me know down on the comments.
A spread of eight sumptuous dishes were laid on our table for what was supposed to be a simple brunch. Yes, there were also eight of us—one for each—but the problem was each serving was almost good enough for three persons. We’re stumped on how we’d finish everything! We definitely have one deliciously huge problem on our table.

WEEKEND OF NOTHING BUT FOOD AT TAAL VISTA TAGAYTAY |
With traveler friends in tow, we headed off to the highlands for the long weekend. While we have only the vaguest Tagaytay itinerary, what’s clear was that we’re gonna eat. A lot. Billeted on one of the three Lakeside rooms of Taal Vista Hotel, we did nothing that weekend but cram our tummies full—a food binge worthy of the seven deadly sins. And we didn’t even have to go out of the hotel to commit it too.
After killing time at Marriott Manila’s Executive Lounge, we sauntered to the hotel’s in house restaurant for dinner. Dressed in our finest—we would be attending a musical later at the nearby Newport Theater—we sat on one corner of Marriott Café and surveyed supper; we were indeed ready (and dressed the part) to eat.

MARRIOTT CAFE LOBBY |
Marriott Café became our go-to place when our stomach dragons beseech us during our two-day stay at Marriott Manila. We ate here twice, during our first night’s dinner and for the next day’s complimentary breakfast buffet.
One of the things I really look forward to when visiting Baguio City is the breakfast buffet at Hotel Veniz. There were times though that their comlimentary breakfast would be just set meals, if there’s not much guests checked in at the hotel. We were quite lucky that there were lots of guests during our last visit, so buffet breakfast it was!
If my memory serves me right, the price for a buffet breakfast at Veniz Grill is pegged at Php180.00 per person, although if you’re checked in at the hotel, it’s free first day only, consecutive ones are not, but price is discounted. Buffet is now free for every night of your stay with a choice of having it as buffet or as set meals delivered right to your room.
They serve typical Filipino breakfast fares; fried rice, eggs, garlic longanisa, corned beef, pancit canton, spaghetti, shanghai spring rolls, dangit, tuyo, pancakes, pan de sal, fruits, cereals and salads. Unlimited coffee and juice are also available.
