SINGAPORE | Disney Adventure Cruise Review 2026 ~ Our Family’s Onboard Experience & Tips
Friday, March 27, 2026
“Why don’t we visit Disneyland?” My son asked a couple of weeks before our surprise Singapore Disney Adventure Cruise for him.
“How about a Disney Cruise instead?” I replied. His eyes widened, mouth agape, astonished that there is such a thing as a Disney-themed cruise. Still, we held the surprise. My wife and I waited until the very last minute, at the cruise port in Singapore, when his eyes actually gazed upon the Disney Adventure cruise ship in all its massive glory.

| INSIDE THE DISNEY ADVENTURE CRUISE SHIP |
I have previously written a very detailed Disney Adventure Cruise Guide, but for this one, I will describe our actual five-day family experience onboard the first Disney Adventure Cruise from Singapore. From our arrival in Singapore and the ship christening to our accommodation inside the Disney Adventure and all the things we ate and did on the cruise.

ABOUT THE DISNEY ADVENTURE CRUISE
![]() |
| A SCALE MODEL OF THE DISNEY ADVENTURE CRUISE SHIP |
The Disney Adventure is the latest and, currently, the largest cruise ship from Disney Cruise Line. With a fleet of eight cruise ships sailing across the Americas, Europe, and Oceania, the Adventure is the first that would be sailing in Asian waters. For the next five years, it would call Singapore its home.
SINGAPORE PRE-CRUISE HOTEL STAY
Our Singapore Disney Adventure Cruise started at Kid A’s school.
With no idea that we would be traveling out of the country and going on a Disney Cruise, we fetched him after classes, went straight to the airport, boarded a plane, and arrived in Singapore on that same evening, with him still in his PE uniform, lol.
![]() |
| OUR BALCONY AT THE 35TH FLOOR OF SWISSOTEL THE STAMFORD |
It was almost midnight when we arrived at the swanky Swissôtel The Stamford hotel, and the first thing we did was open the balcony doors of our 35th-floor room. The sparkling lights of all things Singapore greeted us from the Marina Bay—a very warm and balmy welcome it was.
From our vantage point, we can see the Disney Adventure cruise ship docked at the Marina Bay Cruise Port Singapore. But we’re still not telling Kid A just yet.
We will be spending two nights at the Swissotel, and we plan to explore the nearby areas. BG and I have been to Singapore a number of times, while it is Kid A’s second time. But we never do mind going to the same places over and over again.

| WALKING AROUND THE MARINA BAY |
The next day, we did a shortened Marina Bay–Bugis walking loop, passing through the Esplanade Theatres, Jubilee Bridge, the iconic Merlion, through the Anderson and Cavenagh bridges, onto the Boat Quay, past the Elgin Bridge, the National Gallery of Singapore, St. Andrew’s Cathedral, CHIJMES, and finally Bugis Street—for pasalubong shopping.
Kid A was exhausted and was only too happy to ride a double-decker bus on the way back to the hotel for lunch.
![]() |
| MEE GORENG AND LAKSA FOR LUNCH AT SWISSOTEL THE STAMFORD |
We usually eat in hawker centers when in Singapore and would’ve spent lunch on one, but we have in-room credits at the hotel—which we spent on hawker food anyways, only much more expensive, lol.
DISNEY ADVENTURE CRUISE CHRISTENING
That afternoon, we went aboard the Disney Adventure for the Singapore cruise christening ceremony.
![]() |
| THE DISNEY ADVENTURE CRUISE CHRISTENING |
Apparently, new ships also get a housewarming of sorts. And this christening ceremony was held at Disney Adventure’s Walt Disney Theater, complete with a live orchestra belting out Disney tunes. Filipino singer Jed Madella and Australian songstress Dami Im graced the stage, singing along with Disney songs from our childhood.
![]() |
| ROBERT DOWNEY JR. AS THE DISNEY ADVENTURE’S GODFATHER |
The Avengers theme soon started, and the stage filled with mist. As it cleared, Tony Stark came into view. The real Tony Stark. Iron Man. The one and only, Iron Man. Oh my god. I can’t believe I’m seeing him with my own two eyes! He was to be the ship’s godparent—it is, indeed, a christening after all.
Dinner came afterwards on the ship’s Navigator’s Club: wagyu and wine, lots of wine. And as we went dining, Mickey and Minnie, along with Donald and Daisy, entertained us with their antics.
What a night. And we haven’t even started our cruise yet.
DISNEY ADVENTURE EMBARKATION DAY
![]() |
| THE DISNEY ADVENTURE CRUISE SHIP AT THE MARINA BAY CRUISE CENTRE |
The next day, we had a hearty Singaporean breakfast at the penthouse of the Swissotel. We then quickly packed our bags and brought those we’re checking-in for the cruise at the hotel’s Disney Adventure hospitality center.
We left one of our bags with us for our hand-carry items: some change of clothes—in case our check-in luggage is delivered late—our electronic stuff, snacks, and twelve cans of beer. Yes, adults 21 years of age can bring at least six cans of regular-sized beer or two 750-milliliter unopened bottles of wine in their hand-carry.
The bus shuttle to the cruise was very organized. We went back to the cruise hospitality center and lined up for a bus ticket—which was a Disney character paper tag; we got Pocahontas—and were herded to a large room with seats. Once Pocahontas was called, we all went down to the hotel lobby and onto the bus shuttles.
The ride going to the Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore took about ten to fifteen minutes. It was then that Kid A came face-to-face with the Disney Adventure cruise ship.
“Yes, we’re going on a cruise, baby. A Disney cruise!”
OUR ROOM: OCEANVIEW STATEROOM WITH BALCONY
![]() |
| INSIDE THE MARINA BAY CRUISE CENTRE SINGAPORE |
We breezed through the cruise terminal—the bag check was the only one with a bit of waiting time.
Before going in, our Port Arrival QR codes were scanned, then the bag check—which took the longest time since the queue was a bit long—then a document check, and automatic immigration check, and then we were heading up the ramp to the ship.
And as soon as we entered, several crew members happily cheered us as we went through the Disney adventure’s entrance hall. To our room, we were directed to go.
![]() |
| BG AND KID A RELAXING INSIDE OUR DELUXE OCEANVIEW STATEROOM WITH VERANDAH |
For our four-night cruise, we stayed at Disney Adventure’s Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah, located on the forward-most side of Deck 13. Each room has different themes; ours is The Little Mermaid—above the bed, there’s a colorful mural depicting their underwater world, and in the sitting area, a framed sketch of Princess Ariel. The whole room is carpeted and modernly decorated.
ROOM CAPACITY
![]() |
| DELUXE OCEANVIEW STATEROOM WITH VERANDAH |
It is more than spacious for the three of us. I imagine it would be just right for four adult individuals. I have tried a few other similar balcony rooms on other cruise ships before, and the Disney Adventure’s verandah rooms are larger by a bit.
CLOSET & SHELVES
![]() |
| OUR ROOM'S CLOSET AREA ~ PHOTO BY BLISSFULGURO |
We brought one medium-sized rolling luggage bag and three small ones with us. We easily unloaded everything in the closets provided and hung those that needed to be hung on the ample hangers provided. The empty luggage bags can easily be stored on the closet floor, under the bed, or on the narrow space on the left side of the bed.
Gadgets, small items, documents, and Kid A’s toys were stashed in the drawers below the vanity table, while valuables and important documents were stored in the electronic safe below the tea and coffee shelf.
Everything looked spic and span after some minutes of organizing.
For those who use bedroom slippers, they’re not provided for, so bring your own.
TOILET & BATH
I love the room’s two-door split bathroom. It doesn’t feel cramped and is practical if you have four guests who need to simultaneously use it. The water is potable, and hot water is available on both.
![]() |
| TOILET SIDE |
The toilet compartment is amply spaced and has its own lavatory. There is, however, no bidet—to the chagrin of all the Southeast Asians on board, lol.
![]() |
| SHOWER SIDE |
The shower room opens to the sink area, which has enough space for toiletries and towelettes. To the right is the shower stall, which has a separate closable compartment.
![]() |
| SEA SALT REFILLABLE BATH PRODUCTS ~ PHOTO BY BLISSFULGURO |
There are Sea Salt-brand dispensers available for shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and body lotion. Toilet paper, tissue, hand soap, and towels are also provided for. Note, however, that toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors, and shaving creams are not provided for—you have to bring your own. Although I heard that you can ask for a toothbrush and toothpaste from Guest Services (Deck 7 MID).
There is a retractable clothesline, perfect for drying wet swimming clothes.
THE BED AREA
![]() |
| KID A WITH ZEB ZEB |
The queen-sized bed is actually spacious enough for the three of us that we didn’t need to utilize the sofa bed for sleeping. And as one would expect, it is extremely comfortable. I have read reports about the sofa bed being too hard, while some actually liked how firm it was. Nevertheless, you can ask for a bed topper from room service if you want to soften it up.
The bed is furnished on both sides with electrical sockets (220V and can accept a variety of socket configurations), USB and Type-C charging ports, light switches, and a mini platform for your phone and other small items.
TV / SITTING AREA
![]() |
| FOLDABLE TABLE FOR IN-ROOM DINING |
In between the bed and the balcony is the room’s sitting area. The sofa, which can comfortably seat three persons—or four, if you snuggle closer together—and can transform into two single beds, is fronted by a mirror and a flatscreen TV where you can watch satellite TV and Disney shows.
![]() |
| VANITY SELFIE! |
On the console table, which also doubles as a vanity, there are charging ports, a hairdryer, an electrical socket adaptor (which is not free to bring home, by the way), and a telephone for room services. Below it is a stool, drawers, and a foldable table that you can use for in-room dining.
COFFEE & TEA-MAKING AREA
![]() |
| TWG TEA AND BACHA COFFEE AT THE BALCONY ~ PHOTO BY BLISSFULGURO |
They provide complimentary packs of Bacha and TWG Tea—both of which are really, really good and aromatic, especially the coffee. It’s so good you can’t go back to your old coffee at home. The coffee-making area has a really beautiful electric kettle, cups, and glasses. Below it is the mini-fridge, which was empty but was soon filled with cans of beer.
THE BALCONY
![]() |
| BG, HANGING OUT AT THE BALCONY |
The balcony is furnished with two chairs and a small round table where you can place your cup of coffee or beer bottles. It is spacious, but I find the design a bit too sparse, especially for a Disney cruise. A little splash of color can definitely liven it up.
We found that you can actually see the balcony of the room next to yours if you lean a bit to peek. So, it’s not really that private, if you know what I mean.
![]() |
| THE CAPTAIN’S BRIDGE CAN BE SEEN FROM OUR BALCONY |
Also, I can’t seem to find the light switch for the balcony, and I’m actually unsure if it has a light at all. This might be due to our stateroom’s location, which is on the forward-most part of the ship, right beside the bridge quarters—we can actually see the captain’s or some officer’s huge balcony from ours, lol.
![]() |
| SUNRISE FROM OUR BALCONY |
This is our go-to place as we wake up, watching the sun rise across the sea as we have our morning coffee.
ONBOARD WI-FI
![]() |
| DISNEY ADVENTURE INTERNET WIFI PLAN |
While not really part of our room, the onboard Internet WiFi was something we had to sort out for the Disney Adventure Cruise. You can basically connect to the ship’s WiFi, but the connection is limited to using the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app, sending and receiving text messages on WhatsApp and iMessage. You can purchase a basic Internet (socmed, short-form videos, web surfing, email) and Internet + Streaming (basic package plus audio and video streaming) WiFi packages using the Navigator App.
We initially had a hard time connecting to the Internet, but once our phone settings were sorted out at the Guest Services, we were able to use it with no issues. It is sometimes slow, but considering we were in the middle of nowhere, that was to be expected.
WHAT WE DID FOR FIVE DAYS ON THE DISNEY ADVENTURE
![]() |
| A VIEW OF SINGAPORE FROM THE DECK AREA AT DECK 7 |
Cruising on the Disney Adventure Cruise Singapore can be overwhelming; there are simply too many things to do! Good thing they have an app which helps organize your cruise.
LET’S SET SAIL
After the embarkation process, having lunch, and organizing our room, my wife and Kid A attended the Let’s Set Sail embarkation party at the Imagination Garden (Deck 10 MID), which set the mood for the cruise. A fun welcome dance show with Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy. I wasn’t able to go since it coincided with a press event at the Walt Disney Theater.
EXPLORING DISNEY ADVENTURE 7 THEMED AREAS
![]() |
| EVENINGS AT THE DISNEY IMAGINATION GARDEN |
There are seven themed areas aboard Singapore’s Disney Adventure Cruise. These are spread throughout the ship, making it look more like a Disney resort rather than a cruise ship. We really didn’t intentionally go to each themed area, but we were organically able to see them all as we explored the Adventure on our own.
The seven themed areas are the Town Square (Decks 6 & 7 MID), San Fransokyo Street (Deck 7 AFT), Imagination Garden (Decks 10 & 11 MID), Discovery Reef (Deck 10), Wayfinder Bay (Deck 10 AFT), Toy Story Place (Decks 17 & 18 MID), and the Marvel Landing (Deck 18 AFT). All of these will be mentioned and reviewed as we go through our Disney Adventure cruise experience.
![]() |
| THE BUSY SAN FRANSOKYO STREET |
Of these seven, the San Fransokyo Street (Deck 7 AFT) is my favorite. It’s based on Pixar’s Big Hero 6 movie and presents alleys depicting a cross between San Francisco and Tokyo. I just love its gritty, colorful vibe—Japanese lanterns, small colorful shopfronts, a tram for relaxing and eating, a street café, an arcade hall, an actual four-cinema movie theater, and even Baymax’s garage where you can have your picture taken with him. The vibe is indeed vibing!
DISNEY OCEANEER CLUB
![]() |
| ANDY’S TOYBOX AT THE DISNEY OCEANEER CLUB |
One of the places we often frequent was the Disney Oceaneer Club (Deck 8 MID). The first time we went, we simply walked in—no need to book on the Disney Cruise Navigator app—after dinner and dropped Kid A off.
The secured play area is staffed by friendly Disney counselors and is divided into various areas:
Main Play Area: Where most guided games and activities are done, like make a soapbox car and race it, scavenger hunts, and detective schools
Walt Disney Imagineering Lab: Design a roller coaster ride and ride it yourself
Marvel WEB Workshop: Avengers training simulation, try interactive suits on, make your own superhero mask, and even meet Spider-Man himself
Andy’s Toybox: A Toy Story-inspired playground where you can make Potato Heads and play arcade games
Fairytale Hall: Fairy tale-inspired games, arts and crafts, play screen games, meet Disney Princesses
The club, which is open for kids ages 3 to 10, instantly became one of our son’s favorite places on the ship. He had so many stories about the games they played and art activities they did once we claimed him back. In fact, he became so attached to the counselors; he silently wept as we bade goodbye on our last night on the cruise.
![]() |
| THE VIBE AREA FOR TEENS |
There are also kiddie clubs for infants (not free), for tweens (Edge), and for teens (Vibe).
I highly recommend these places, especially if you and your companion want to have some quality us time on the cruise.
TOP DECK MARVEL LANDING RIDES
![]() |
| THE GROOT GALAXY SPIN |
One of the main features of Singapore’s Disney Adventure Cruise is the Marvel Landing (Deck 18 AFT) at the top deck where the rides are. They have three rides, two of which we were able to try—the Groot Galaxy Spin, an aerial carousel, and the Pym Quantum Racers, which is a car racing ride. Both are quick and simple rides that appeal more to kids.
![]() |
| THE IRONCYCLE TEST RUN |
For teens and adults, there is the Ironcycle Test Run; at 250 meters long, it is currently the longest roller coaster ride on a cruise ship. Sadly, it was still out on a test run during our cruise, so only a few got to try it.
![]() |
| THE PYM QUANTUM RACER TRACK |
All these rides require guests to book on the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app, although there are times—probably during lull hours—where they allow walk-ins. For kids below a certain height requirement, an adult guardian is required.
Best times to ride are during the early mornings, late afternoons, and evenings. It is simply too hot to do these rides during the midday.
SWIMMING POOLS
Everyday, Kid A and BG head to the pool while us media peeps work. I did get to try the pools, but that was already on the third day of the cruise. There are three swimming pools aboard the Disney Adventure Cruise.
![]() |
| THE MAIN SWIMMING POOL OF THE DISNEY ADVENTURE |
Sunnyside Pool (Deck 17 MID)
The cruise’s main pool. It has a depth of 1.32 meters, which was a bit on the high side for our toddler. Although he can already swim, he has to stay in the wading area most of the time. Its length was okay for short laps around the pool. On its shorter sides are four whirlpool tubs for chilling out.
![]() |
| BG AT THE INFINITY POOL |
Infinity Pool (Deck 18 AFT)
Smaller than the Sunnyside, the Infinity Pool is actually four smaller mini-pools joined together. You can’t really swim here unless you’re a kid; it’s more like a relaxing kind of pool. In fact, there are sitting areas in the pool, so you just basically sit and waddle around while enjoying the view of the sea below.
![]() |
| KID A LOVES THE INFINITY POOL |
This is Kid A’s favorite pool, since its one-meter water depth is just right for him. Also, we got to watch Moana: Call of the Sea here, since it overlooks the Wayfinder Bay below.
BG and I also liked it a lot since it has an overhead cover, which shields us from the midday sun.
![]() |
| THE WAYFINDER BAY AT THE BACK OF THE SHIP |
Wayfinder Beach (Deck 10 AFT)
The Wayfinder Beach is a wading pool surrounded by an amphitheater-ish lounge area. We didn’t swim here since the pool is a bit too shallow for us and is set on a stage—it felt like everyone was watching us, lol.
SPLASH ZONES
There are three splash zones at the ship’s top decks designed for small toddlers to kids and even grown-ups!
![]() |
| THE TOY STORY SPLASH PAD |
Toy Story Splash Pad (Deck 17 MID)
For small toddlers aged four and below, we didn’t get to try this as Kid A declared that it was too kiddie for him. Wow, really now.
![]() |
| FLYING SAUCER SPLASH ZONE |
Flying Saucer Splash Zone (Deck 17 MID)
For kids aged eight and below. This one is Kid A’s favorite, and ours too! It has a swirling slide, alien water guns, and water buckets that slowly fill with water and suddenly make a huge splash when filled.
![]() |
| WOODY AND JESSIE’S WILD SLIDES ARE INDEED QUITE WILD! |
Woody & Jessie's Wild Slides (Deck 18 MID)
More for older kids and adults, they have two slides, a red and yellow one. BG and I got to try the red one, and we both got wildly disoriented as we came out. We’re probably too old for these, lol. We saw not a few going back up for another ride, so it’s just probably us.
SHOPPING
The wife was uber excited about shopping for Disney merch aboard the Disney Adventure Cruise, some of which is exclusive to the Adventure. The ship has at least eleven gift shops spread throughout.
![]() |
| SHOPPING IN THE WORLD OF DISNEY SHOP |
We shopped mostly at the World of Disney (Deck 5 MID) and the World of Disney Too (Deck 5 MID) for merch.
BG got herself a Disney Adventure shirt and a Minnie Mouse coin purse bag charm.
![]() |
| FREE BRACELET & CHARMS FROM DIAMONDS & WISHES ~ PHOTO BY BLISSFULGURO |
She also got a free bracelet and charms from the Diamonds & Wishes (Deck 10 MID) jewelry store. Something that’s causing a stir now since cruisers after our sailing are saying that these are not available anymore and were only given to the initial Disney cruisers. These, however, are still being given away for free on other Disney cruise ships. So, let’s wait and see.
![]() |
| WE BOUGHT A DANTE SPIRIT GUIDE SIPPER FOR KID A |
Kid A, on the other hand, wanted a Stitch plushie bag charm, which we got from the Castle Collection (Deck 11 MID), where they sell plushies. From the Pixar Market Restaurant (Deck 17 AFT), we also bought him a very cute Coco’s Dante Spirit Guide sipper.
![]() |
| OUR LOVELY DISNEY ADVENTURE SNOW GLOBE |
For our home fridge, we bought a Mickey Mouse Disney Cruise ref magnet, our microwave, a Disney Adventure snow globe.
![]() |
| FOUND A SHIRT I LIKE AT THE NAT GEO SHOP |
And finally, for me, I got uh… nothing. I can’t find a shirt I like since I only wear black. And the number of black shirts in any of the Disney stores? Zero. Lol.
What I got, though, was a black National Geographic shirt from the San Fransokyo Street area (Deck 7 AFT), which has a dedicated National Geographic Store. All was not lost.
![]() |
| MICKEY MOUSE GUCCI BAG AND WALLET |
I saw some other interesting items at the Treasures Untold store (Deck 10 MID), like Louis Vuitton and Gucci Disney bags and wallets, but we don’t really carry those and they are too expensive for us, lol.
THE GARDEN STAGE & WAYFINDER BAY SHOWS
![]() |
| DUFFY AND THE FRIEND SHIP SHOW AT THE GARDEN STAGE |
Numerous shows were being held daily at the Imagination Garden’s Garden Stage (Deck 10 MID) throughout the day. Some of these include the Let’s Set Sail embarkation party, Duffy and The Friend Ship, Baymax Super Exercise Expo, and Avengers Assemble!
![]() |
| MOANA: CALL OF THE SEA AT THE WAYFINDER BAY |
On the Wayfinder Bay (Deck 10 AFT), they have Moana: Call of the Sea, which is shown every morning.
![]() |
| AVENGERS ASSEMBLE! AT THE GARDEN STAGE |
We saw all these, and I have to say that the Avengers show was the most amazing. It’s full of action sequences you’d expect from a Marvel show, including a web-slinging entrance from Spider-Man and a floating entrada from the Scarlet Witch. Plus, with Deadpool included, you’d just have to wait for the Bye Bye Bye dance number at the end, lol.
WALT DISNEY THEATER SHOWS
![]() |
| POPCORN FOR THE COMING SHOW INSIDE THE WALT DISNEY THEATER |
There are two Broadway-style shows being shown at the Walt Disney Theater (Deck 7 FWD) in rotation every night. This is a scheduled showing, since the theater has a limited capacity relative to the passenger load on board.
The first one we attended was Seas the Adventure, which stars Goofy time-traveling through various Disney shows like Moana, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, and Frozen. This is a classic Disney show, which made some of the audiences teary-eyed with nostalgia.
The second show was WALL-E’s Remember, which also goes through various Disney movies like Coco, Up, Inside Out, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, and Frozen to fix EVE.
![]() |
| BUBBLE CONFETTI AT THE WALT DISNEY THEATER DURING THE CHRISTENING CEREMONY |
The best seats to watch these shows are in the front area, since this is where the snow and bubble confetti effects would be most felt.
Note that any form of taking photos and recording is not allowed.
PIXIE DUSTING
![]() |
| A FULLY DECORATED STATEROOM DOOR |
One of the fun things we discovered during our actual cruise aboard the Disney Adventure was Pixie Dusting. Apparently, this is a tradition on Disney cruises where guests decorate their doors with Disney characters using magnets. These are further embellished with all sorts of decor and even blinking lights! Other guests who find it charming then sprinkle pixie dust on it by dropping something in the bags provided.
We didn’t know about this before boarding the ship, so we were totally unprepared—we didn’t have any magnets with us to pin any décor on our door, and we didn’t have anything to decorate our door at all.
![]() |
| OUR DOOR, WE ARE UNPREPARED INDEED |
So, what Kid A did was draw his favorite Disney characters on paper using his crayons. I then cut them out, and we posted them on the door using the tape from our airport bag tags, lol. It was only later that we found that any form of adhesives is not allowed for Pixie Dusting and may be subject to fines! We are terribly sorry for that.
![]() |
| KID A, ENJOYING PIXIE DUSTING |
Nevertheless, we enjoyed going through numerous corridors admiring other guests’ doors and even getting some free stuff from some! Note that these doors have to indicate that you can get stuff from them before you actually do.
WALKING AROUND
One of the things I like to do on cruise ships is to walk from the topmost deck all the way to the lowest deck. It orients me on where places are, and it’s a good and thorough way to see everything the ship has to offer. Unfortunately, on our Singapore Disney Cruise, I wasn’t able to do so since we were too busy—I told you, there are never-ending activities on the ship, lol.
![]() |
| THE DISNEY IMAGINATION GARDEN AT DAWN |
What I was able to do, though, was get up early in the morning and walk around while everyone was still asleep. The Disney Imagination Garden and the Discovery Reef (DECK 10 MID) looked really magical at this hour. It really felt like being transported to Disney’s world.
![]() |
| THE TOP DECK DURING SUNRISE |
With no one around except the occasional joggers, the top decks (DECKS 17 & 18) also look gorgeous as the sun rises from the sea.
EVENINGS AT THE TOP DECK
![]() |
| BEER AND PIZZA EVENING AT THE TOP DECK |
At the end of each day, after dropping Kid A at the Oceaneer Club (Deck 8 MID), BG and I head to the top deck of the ship for a quiet evening of beer and free pizza. There are two gigantic Adventure Vision LCD screens that show Disney movies, perfect for chilling out.
![]() |
| THE BOUNCE AND HOPS TAKE-AND-GO BAR |
There are eleven bars inside the Disney Adventure, and three of those are at the top deck—the Infinity Bar (Deck 18 AFT), Bars & Hop, and the Market Bar (Deck 17 MID). Beer is sold at around 8.00 USD per can or bottle, and they also have a bucket option.
We, however, bought a dozen beers onboard—we’re allowed six cans each. Since it is cheaper to get them at Changi Airport, about 5.00 SGD for a three-pack, or even at grocery stores around Singapore.
![]() |
| FIREWORKS AT SEA FROM THE LION KING CELEBRATION SHOW |
On one of these evenings, we also witnessed the Circle of Life: The Lion King Celebration fireworks show.
WHAT WE ATE ABOARD THE DISNEY ADVENTURE
There are numerous free restaurants onboard the Disney Adventure Cruise, and on most of them, you can eat for free an unlimited number of times as long as the restaurant is open. Choosing where to eat can actually be a fun challenge. Here’s where we ate.
BUFFET BREAKFAST
![]() |
| THE BUFFET SPREAD AT THE PIXAR MARKET RESTAURANT |
There are two restaurants serving buffet breakfast on the Disney Adventure Cruise: the Pixar Market Restaurant (Deck 17 AFT) and the Enchanted Summer Restaurant (Deck 6 AFT). There is also the Navigator’s Club (Deck 6 AFT), but they serve plated breakfast, not a buffet.
We had breakfast three times at the Pixar Market and once at the Enchanted Summer—we just love the expansive view at the former, especially on the aftmost corners of the restaurant where you get a 180-degree view of the sea.
![]() |
| PASTRY AREA AT THE ENCHANTED SUMMER RESTAURANT |
The two restaurants serve almost the same food, with only a few differences. Both have the usual breads, pastries, cereals, fruits, yogurts, pancakes, Mickey waffles, eggs, bacons, and sausages. Pixar Market leans more towards Asian options, with its variety of noodles, rice dishes, and regional flavors, while Enchanted Summer has more Western leanings.
![]() |
| KID A LOVES HIS BREAKFAST CHOICES |
Kid A’s favorites include the Mickey Waffle and its cinnamon-coated variant, which only appeared once—the Mickey Churro Waffles—blue rice, colorful crispies, and fruits.
![]() |
| MICKEY WAFFLES IS LOVE! |
BG’s picks include bowls of yogurt filled with sunflower seeds, walnuts, almonds, and dried cranberries paired with pan-seared asparagus and… Mickey Waffles!
![]() |
| BREAKFAST AS THE SUN RISES FROM THE HORIZON |
My picks are, ehrrm... more straight-forward—fried rice, crisply fried bacon, turkey bacon (good!), corned beef (really good), and sunny-side-up eggs. And... second plate: mee goreng (a bit bland), roti (a bit too dry for me), chicken curry, and croissant. I love putting butter on my croissant and dipping them in curry gravy—fight me, lol.
BUFFET LUNCH
![]() |
| FRIENDLY FILIPINO STAFF AT THE PIXAR MARKET RESTAURANT |
These same restaurants serve lunch buffets on the Disney Adventure Cruise, Enchanted Summer Restaurant (Deck 6 AFT), and Pixar Market Restaurant (Deck 17 AFT). We had lunch twice on the former and once on the latter.
![]() |
| MAGICAL SETTING AT THE ENCHANTED SUMMER RESTAURANT |
Again, the dishes are divided into Western and Asian fare in both restaurants. There were a lot of steaks at the Enchanted Summer; they were pretty good, but they seem to have no gravies for them. What I remember best were the steaks, shrimp curry (so good, but only appeared once, huhu), chilled poached shrimp, and crispy pork belly (hit or miss, some are crispy, some are not).
![]() |
| LUNCH AT THE TOP DECK |
To be honest, I enjoyed the breakfast more than the lunch offerings. To make up for this, on our third day of the cruise, we got food from the Pixar Market, sat down at the outside seats on the top deck (DECK 17 MID), and got more food from Stitch’s Ohana Grill (Deck 10 MID) quick-service restaurant.
QUICK-SERVICE RESTAURANTS
These small, themed, specialty quick-service restaurants are located at the Imagination Garden (Deck 10 MID) and Discovery Reef (Deck 10 MID) of the ship. These are all inclusive, meaning they're free!
![]() |
| BURGERS AND HOTDOGS FROM STITCH’S OHANA GRILL |
Stitch’s Ohana Grill (Deck 10 MID) MENU
Our favorite quick-service resto, they serve burgers and hotdogs with tropical twists. We tried their The Classic burger and Bratwurst sandwich. And in hindsight, I wished we had ordered everything from their menu—the Gochujang Burger, Barbecue Huli-Huli Pulled Pork, The 626, Black and Blue Burger, and Impossible Burger! Oh, the regrets we have, lol!
![]() |
| A PLATTER OF GOODNESS FROM COSMIC KEBABS |
Cosmic Kebabs (Deck 10 MID)
Cosmic Kebabs is a Ms. Marvel-themed eatery serving Middle Eastern dishes. We tried their food on one of our beer nights at the Wayfinder Bay (complete with a live DJ). Since we have no idea what to order, like the Avengers, we only know shawarma, so we let the staff make a platter for us. And they did not disappoint!
![]() |
| A PLATTER AND BOWL FROM GRAMMA TALA’S KITCHEN |
Gramma Tala’s Kitchen (Deck 10 MID) MENU
Another eatery, this time based on Moana. It’s actually a build-your-own-platter, similar to Cosmic Kebabs, but with Asian and Pacific dishes. We tried their Hainanese chicken, Sichuan-braised tofu, buttermilk-fried chicken, huli-huli chicken, and fragrant chicken rice. Everything was good! I wished we ate here again, as we only tried it once.

| INSIDE MOWGLI’S EATERY |
Mowgli’s Eatery (Deck 10 MID) MENU
An Indian eatery with a Jungle Book theme. Another regret we have is failing to eat here. There were just too many places to eat at, so we were constantly full.

| THE BEVERAGE STATION AT THE DISCOVERY REEF |
Beverage Stations (2 at Deck 10 MID, 2 at Deck 17 FWD)
One of the things I really like at the Disney Adventure Cruise is their beverage stations located in popular areas of the ship. You can have your sodas, fruit juices, and even hot coffee or tea, all for free. If you don’t want any of these and prefer water, they have that too.
I suggest bringing an insulated water jug, which you can fill with your favorite drink, so you always have it with you and even lessen wastage.

| KID A ENJOYING HIS FREE SOFT-SERVE ICE CREAM |
Wheezy’s Freezies (Deck 17 MID)
I’m really not into soft-serve ice creams, but Kid A is. It’s one of his favorites onboard the cruise. They have chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla flavors, and the best thing is, you can mix them in a single swirl!

| PIZZA PLANET AT THE TOP DECK |
Pizza Planet (Deck 17 MID)
Our constant companion on our top-deck beer nights, Pizza Planet offers pepperoni, four cheese, barbecue chicken, and margherita pizzas, all freshly baked—since they constantly churn these out for guests. Their pepperoni pizza with hot sauce pairs very well with cold beer!

| REALLY GOOD AND FREE HOTDOGS AT THE INFINITY BAR |
Infinity Bar (Deck 17 MID)
A paid bar serving the Infinity Pool; they have one free item, a hotdog sandwich. It comes in two variants—chicken and beef—and can be finished off with a plethora of toppings. We tried their beef hotdog sandwich with everything on it once. And again, we regretted not getting another one. Another one to put on our regrets list, huhu.
PLATED ROTATIONAL DINNERS
For dinners, the Disney Adventure Cruise actually assigns specific restaurants to their guests. Their Rotational Dining is divided into two sets, which are randomly pre-assigned to guests:
Set A: Navigator’s Club, Animator’s Palate, and Pixar Market
Set B: Hollywood Spotlight Club, Animator’s Table, and Enhanced Summer Restaurant

| HIGH-CEILINGED GRANDNESS AT THE HOLLYWOOD SPOTLIGHT CLUB |
In my opinion, the Hollywood Spotlight Club (Deck 8 AFT) is a much grander dining place than the Navigator’s Club (Deck 6 AFT). If ever you’re assigned to the Navigator’s Club set, you may request a change at the start of the cruise, and it may be possible to do so, depending on how full the ship is.

| KID A’S TYPICAL DINNER PLATE |
Dinners are unlimited three-course meals, which means you can order more than one starter, main courses, or desserts—or if you wish to omit some, it’s perfectly okay too. They have a mix of Western and Asian cuisines, with BG ordering mostly steaks, and me—noodles, lol.
![]() |
| THE SECRET MICKEY PREMIUM ICE CREAM BAR |
They also have a kids menu, which mostly consists of mac and cheese, pizza, chicken tenders, burgers, and pasta, which was perfect for Kid A. Also, be sure to ask for a Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar for dessert, which is a secret menu item.

| WITH OUR DINNER SERVERS, YOPI AND DYLON, AT THE DISNEY ADVENTURE |
These are served by a tandem of waiters, which would follow you through all your dinners aboard the ship. Ours were Yopi from Indonesia and Dylon from South Africa, which were both very kind, courteous, and helpful.
Navigator’s Club (Deck 6 AFT) DINNER MENU 1 / MENU 2
We dined at the Navigator’s Club twice, on our first and last night of the cruise.

| CLASSIC NAUTICAL THEME AT THE NAVIGATOR’S CLUB |
Some of the things I really liked from their entrees were their Hong Kong Wonton and Thai Boat Noodles—which were very laksa-ish. Their Peppered Filet Mignon and Ginger-Teriyaki Dusted Angus Beef Tenderloin, which were BG’s choices, were also quite good.
![]() |
| THAI BOAT NOODLES AND ANGUS BEEF TENDERLOIN |
Their Chicken Breast Katsu was just so-so; I wish it had a stronger Japanese curry flavor.
![]() |
| COCONUT TAPIOCA PUDDING |
For desserts, their Chocolate Molten Cake and Coconut Tapioca Pudding were both delectable.
Animator’s Palate (Deck 5 AFT) DINNER MENU
We dined at the Animator’s Palate on our second night of the cruise.
![]() |
| ANIMATION THEME AT THE ANIMATOR’S PALATE |
It’s one of the most fun dining places on the cruise. Before being presented with the menu, we were first asked to draw a cartoon character on a paper; these were then scanned and, just before desserts, animated on the numerous screens in the dining hall.

| LAKSA LEMAK AND PAN-SEARED PACIFIC SCALLOPS |
For their small plates, I love their Wonton Soup. BG’s entrées, the Pan-seared Pacific Scallops and Carved Slow-roasted Rosemary Beef Tenderloin were also superb.
I had high hopes for their Laksa Lemak, which I chose for the entrée, but the soup was too mild for my taste. I was hoping for an authentic strong Singaporean flavor, considering the Disney Adventure does sail from Singapore.

| CAPPUCINO MOUSSE |
For desserts, their Chocolate Decadence and Cappuccino Mousse were both, indeed, decadent.
Pixar Market Restaurant (Deck 17 AFT) DINNER MENU / ALCOHOL MENU
We dined at the Pixar Market Restaurant on our third night of the cruise.
![]() |
| EACH AREA AT THE PIXAR MARKET RESTAURANT IS DEDICATED TO SPECIFIC PIXAR MOVIES |
For starters, I liked their Pork and Shrimp Shumai while BG adored their Summer Roll—which is a Vietnamese fresh spring roll.
![]() |
| SHIROMARU AND HAINANESE CHICKEN RICE |
For the main course, I asked for their Shiromaru, a tonkotsu ramen, and Hainanese Chicken Rice. I didn’t like the former, while I absolutely love the latter.
BG went for their Roasted Prime Rib of Beef steak, which, again, was quite good.
![]() |
| LEMON THAI BASIL TART |
For desserts, their massive Chocolate Fudge Sundae and Lemon Thai Basil Tart were both delicious.
DISEMBARKATION DAY
![]() |
| KID A, TIRED AFTER A FULL DAY OF ACTIVITES |
We were sad that our Disney Singapore cruise was about to end. Nevertheless, we prepared for our last day of the cruise the night before. I don’t advise packing and preparing on the very last day; you definitely will not make it on time and you will be terribly stressed.
So, the night before, we packed our bags and decided we didn’t want to utilize the bag check-in, since we thought it’d be much more straightforward that way. Anyways, we’re lugging rolling luggage, so it can’t be that hard. Well, it was too late when I found that it was quite hard to roll large and heavy luggage on carpet, lol.
We also opted for a credit card payment, so there was no need to head over to Guest Services (Deck 7 MID) for our outstanding balances. If you opted for cash, then you’d have to settle it personally with them.
We also filled out another Singapore Arrival Card, since technically, even if we didn’t dock at any port of call, we still left Singapore. With that, I was actually lost on what to input for the Last City / Port of Embarkation Before Singapore field, so I simply put Philippines. And since we’re Filipinos, we also filled an eTravel form for our arrival in the Philippines.

| ELECTRICAL OUTLETS INSIDE THE STATEROOM, THEY HAVE A TRAVEL ADAPTOR TOO |
Before calling it a night, I phoned guest services to see if we could bring home the electrical travel socket adapter in the room—since it really looked like a complimentary item, lol—and they said we should not. Same case with the laundry bag, which we almost used; good thing we found that it costs 10.00 USD.

| KID A, ENJOYING THE STATEROOM BED |
On disembarkation day, we woke early, left our bags in our room, and headed to our assigned breakfast restaurant—Navigator’s Club. Upon seeing their plated breakfast menu, we requested if we could transfer to the Enchanted Summer Restaurant, since we wanted a buffet breakfast instead. We were allowed to.
After a hearty breakfast, I went to our room—while BG and Kid A stayed at the restaurant—to get our bags. With four pieces of rolling luggage—one medium and three small ones—it wasn’t easy, especially on the carpeted parts. The night before, we were given Captain Mickey luggage tags, these would be the indicator to disembark for those with checked-in baggage. But for us with no checked-in luggage, we can avail of the Express Walk-Off, which means we can pretty much disembark as soon as the ship opens its gates.

| GOING BACK TO DRY LAND |
And in an hour or so, we went down to Deck 7, exited the ship, went past the immigration, and finally, got on the bus en route to the airport. Our Disney Adventure Cruise has ended.
FINAL THOUGHTS

| A BEAUTIFUL PORTHOLE INSIDE THE DISNEY ADVENTURE |
A cruise at the Disney Adventure is unlike any other cruise I’ve been to.
First off, the ship itself doesn’t even look like a cruise ship, it looks like a small Disneyland at sea—the themed areas made the ship like a Disney resort. The onboard entertainment was also superb,
The food’s really good—well, of course, not everything, food is very subjective—but generally, everything’s good. I specially love the dishes at the quick-service restaurants.
And the staff through the whole ship were genuinely friendly, courteous, and kind. I love how they interacted with Kid A—special shout out to the counsellors at the Oceaneer Club, our child definitely misses all of you.
Now, for the things I don’t like. We were really looking forward to riding the Ironcycle roller coaster, but it was still on a test run. I guess, safety first. Besides that, there’s not much else to not like on the Disney Adventure Cruise. If you can count being overwhelmed with the things to do on and food to eat on the ship, then I guess, that makes two.
Being on the Disney Adventure Cruise is an incredibly joyful experience—especially when shared with family. The happiest place on Earth has set sail from Singapore and now roams the high seas.
