TAGAYTAY CITY TRAVEL GUIDE 2023 | Itinerary + Budget + Map
Wednesday, July 26, 2023
Tagaytay is the nearest and most accessible weekend getaway from Metro Manila. Located in the province of Cavite, a Tagaytay daytrip from Manila is very popular with tourists. And even with its proximity, it hosts a number of scenic spots, delectable food places, and fun activities suited for couples, families, barkada, and even the solitary traveler. It is, arguably, one of the most famous and loved tourist spots in the Philippines.

The city provides a cool and breezy holiday—the so called Tagaytay weather—to soothe frayed nerves and bestow a renewed sense of vitality to city-worn souls. Much has been written about this place, but for those new to the city, this Tagaytay travel guide (with a sample itinerary and a budget guide) is an invaluable resource for a trip to literally one of the coolest places this side of the Philippines.
| TAGAYTAY TRAVEL GUIDE 2023 TABLE OF CONTENTS ~ WHAT’S INSIDE? |
WHAT'S THE BEST TIME TO GO TO TAGAYTAY
If you really want to enjoy the cold Tagaytay weather, then the best time to go to Tagaytay is during the cooler months of the year, that is, from November to February. It may seem like a good idea to go during the summer months of March to June, but the temperature is really almost the same as that in Metro Manila—hot and humid. It's actually better to go during the rainy months of June to October, as it does get really cool in Tagaytay during those months and the chances of encountering a poetically foggy Tagaytay is also high. The only drawback, of course, is you'd have to be toting an umbrella with you all the time.
ESSENTIAL INFO FOR TRAVELERS
● Currency is in Philippine Peso. USD 1.00 is about PHP 55.00.
● ATM machines (more than twenty) are readily available along Tagaytay's main highway.
● Filipino or Tagalog is main language spoken in Tagaytay, English coming in second.
● Type A (two flat vertical pins) is the electrical outlet used in Tagaytay
● A light jacket is usually enough for a tour of Tagaytay during the cold months. Bring a thicker one if you plan on staying overnight. If you're going during summer months, a shirt is more than enough as it really doesn't get that cold.
● It is generally safe in Tagaytay. Crime rate is pretty low. You may encounter touts on a couple of tourist places offering Taal boat tours before the volcano eruption, but they're really not that persistent.
● In cases of emergency, there are a lot of hospitals and clinics in Tagaytay.
HOW TO GET TO TAGAYTAY
Tagaytay City is located fifty-five kilometers south of Metro Manila—one of the reasons why so many tourists do a Tagaytay daytrip from Manila. It is easily accessible by air-conditioned public transportations via buses and vans from city terminals around Metro Manila. Driving to Tagaytay City by car is also quite easy.

○ MANILA TO TAGAYTAY BY BUS ○ TWO TO THREE HOURS TRAVEL TIME ○ FARE FROM PHP87.00 +/-
There are buses from the San Agustin EDSA Rotunda terminal and the Nasugbu DLTB Terminal in LRT Buendia that goes straight to Tagaytay. The main hub of buses that go to Tagaytay is located at the PITX or the Paranaque Integrated Terminal at the old Uniwide Coastal Mall in Pasay City.

○ MANILA TO TAGAYTAY BY VAN ○ 1.5 TO TWO HOURS TRAVEL TIME ○ FARE FROM PHP180.00 +/-
Taking a van or FX is another alternative in going to Tagaytay. Although it is much more expensive than a bus, travel time is faster since it goes through SLEX and bypasses the traffic-ridden roads of Cavite. Its terminals are located at the EGI Mall near the LRT Gil Puyat Station (Taft Avenue cor. Buendia, 6:00am to 8:00pm), StarMall Mandaluyong (EDSA cor. Shaw Blvd.), Metropoint Mall at Edsa Rotunda, and at the back of McDonald’s at the Edsa-Taft MRT Station.

○ MANILA TO TAGAYTAY BY PRIVATE CAR ○ ONE TO 1.5 HOURS TRAVEL TIME
Driving to Tagaytay City via private car is easy enough. Drive through SLEX and take the Sta. Rosa Exit. From there, it’s a straight drive to Tagaytay City. As you arrive at the Olivarez Rotunda, turn right to go to the restaurants in Magallanes Square and turn left if you want to visit People’s Park and Picnic Grove.
HOW TO GET AROUND IN TAGAYTAY
The main mode of transportation in Tagaytay is the jeepney, it’s main terminal located at Olivarez. Minimum fare is at PHP12.00 but since tourist spots in Tagaytay are quite a distance away from each other, do ask the driver how much the fare is to your destination.

There are no Grab or Angkas in Tagaytay City. Taxis are now available in Tagaytay. Metro Comet has launched taxi services within the city up to any point in the region of CALABARZON. Rates are the same as with Metro Manila taxis—₱40.00 flagdown rate, and ₱13.50 every kilometer traveled. As of the moment, they have fifteen units available, but will soon upgrade to a hundred vehicles. These local Tagaytay taxis are available from 5:00AM to 12:00AM, but they’re planning to put them up for 24 hours in the future. Besides flagging them down on the road, you can also go to their main terminal at Fora Tagaytay in Olivarez. Taxi riders can also book a Tagaytay taxi on their Facebook Page and soon, on a booking app.

Besides taxis, tricycles are more common in Tagaytay. They used to be relegated to the side streets that connect to the Tagaytay-Nasugbu Highway, but you can now hire them to take you to almost anywhere you want to go to in Tagaytay City.

To orient yourselves, make the Olivarez Rotunda as your guiding point. Coming from Manila, turning left will send you to Picnic Grove and People's Park; heading straight, to Taal Lake; and turning right, to the main tourist areas of Tagaytay City--including the tourist spots in Nasugbu, Batangas.

WHERE TO EAT IN TAGAYTAY
Tourists wouldn’t run out of places to eat while in the city. Tagaytay’s main specialty is bulalo, a hot bowl of soup filled with veggies, chunks of beef meat, and an actual bone—for the marrow. It fits the area’s cool weather quite well. If you want to avoid the cholesterol levels of this dish however, the place is also replete with all sorts of restaurants serving all kinds of cuisines, be it Filipino, American, Chinese, etc. For those on a budget, carinderia stalls, gotohan, and eateries also abound along the city’s Nasugbu-Tagaytay Highway.

Tagaytay City is known for two things, affordable beef meat and buko pies. But dig some more and you’d find other noteworthy pasalubong from this misty city like honey bee products, tarts, jams, pinipig, knives made from its neighboring province of Batangas, and the usual keychains and souvenir shirts.

TAGAYTAY TOURIST SPOT MAP

SAMPLE TAGAYTAY ITINERARY & TRAVEL BUDGET GUIDE
A day trip from Manila is enough to cover most of the tourist attractions in Tagaytay City, but extending overnight is definitely better as you get to experience the night life at the restaurants along the Magallanes area. Nothing beats having coffee or beer in the evening with the cool Tagaytay weather and the moonlit Taal as your backdrop.

in extending overnight, you would also have the option of visiting the Taal Volcano, which is accessible via the town of Talisay in Batangas. For this Tagaytay itinerary and travel budget guide, the majority of the second day’s expenses are from the Taal Volcano tour. And yes, It is quite expensive. So, it’s really up to you if you want to proceed with it or simply stay at Tagaytay itself, have a food trip and enjoy its cool weather—which is infinitely cheaper. Whether you decide on staying overnight or just have a day tour, it would still definitely fit your Tagaytay weekend getaway.

And as always, I made this Tagaytay travel guide with the cheapest expenses in mind—the lodgings are the lowest priced I found on Agoda, the food are all based on having meals in carinderias, and the transportation costs would have you riding jeepneys. Indeed, if you want a Tagaytay budget staycation, then here it is. If you, however, have a bigger budget, I would definitely advise on eating on the more famous restaurants in Tagaytay I recommended below. Part of the enjoyment of going to Tagaytay is actually eating out.

Nice post. Complete na ha. ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks Michi! Although this is far from complete yet, ang dami pang kainan at nice hotels na hindi ko pa nafea-feature sa Tagaytay :)
DeleteGaleng. What every travel guide blog post should be.
ReplyDeleteSalamat Marky :)
DeleteI love this share... been looking a good and perfect Tagaytay itinerary. It's more fun in our province - Cavite!
ReplyDeleteThank you Ian, hope you find this Tagaytay travel guide useful :)
DeleteVery nice guide, Christian. Salamat sa pagpromote sa bayan ko hihi! I'd include LZM, Pancake House (the steak/beef is of better quality in that branch, I tell you), Sonya's Garden and the tiny panaderia near my place called Junil's (24-hour pandesal) to the list of eateries. Also, a short day trip to beaches of Nasugbu from Aguinaldo Highway would be great for those 3 day weekends :)
ReplyDeleteHi Drew! Will include those once I tried them out :)
DeleteBy the way what's LZM? :)
Galing! wla ng mas complete pa dito.. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Kath! Musta na? :)
DeleteHi!
ReplyDeleteNice post about Tagaytay! I'll definitely go back and try some places there. I've only went recently to Antonio's and Puzzle Mansion in Tagaytay. Maybe you could try them too. Thank you for the post!
Hi Carmi! I haven't been to the puzzle mansion and Antonio's but sure I'll add them to this post :)

ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteYou've put a strikethrough on the van transpo. Is it no longer available? I heard there were vans from the LRT Gil Puyat station at the EGI building.
Thanks!
Hi Dennis, the last time I dropped by Buendia, I asked if there are still vans going to Tagaytay and it seems wala na yata. Don't worry I'll ask around again and update the travel guide next time I pass by the place. :)
DeleteThanks! This is very helpful.
DeleteWelcome Dennis :)
DeleteThank you for this post. It really helps! :)
ReplyDeleteNo problem Angelo, enjoy Tagaytay!

ReplyDeleteThank you Kristine, glad you find my tagaytay travel guide useful :)
Deletemga nsa magkano po kaya magagastos mo sa lahat ng yan bukod po muna ung sa accomodation...
ReplyDeleteHi Janz, the cost of your Tagaytay trip will depend largely on where you would eat
DeleteThank you! very helpful, specially the map :))
ReplyDeleteNo problem Jody! Enjoy your Tagaytay trip :)
DeleteHi Christian! First of all, this is a really nice guide! :)
ReplyDeleteAsk ko lang kung magkano estimate na gastos if susundin ko yung day trip itinerary mo?
I already planned using this as a guide, all that's left is to estimate the cost.
Thank you very much!
Hi Don, everything actually will depend on how much you're gonna spend on your meals and where you're gonna stay. Most of the places included in the list have either minimal or free entrances :)
DeleteHi. Can we roam the whole place by bringing our own car?
ReplyDeleteIt actually is easier to tour Tagaytay by car than by commuting :)
Deletewow! sobrang ok!
ReplyDeletethank you!
lalo yung map.. hinahanap ko ko talaga yang ganyan to see kung ano yung magkakalapit na lugar.
tanong ko lang po, plan ko kase is from manila around 8am 1st stop would be sa pink sisters then lunch na sa sonya's garden.. e malayo pala sonya's garden from pink sisters... kaya ba na mag sky eye muna from pink sisters before lunch sa sonya's?
Yup, sakto na you do the Sky Ranch muna before heading to Sonya's Garden :)
DeleteAndito lahat ng hinahanap ko ah. Ang galing! Feeling ko, kulang kulang 3k siguro if ever kung susundin ko yung itinerary or less if yung buong maghapon lang. Thanks for this! Nag ka idea ako where to celebrate yung birthday namin ng Hubby ko. We share the same birth date kc. Hehe!
ReplyDeleteI think 3k would be more than enough if you're not staying overnight in Tagaytay. :)
DeleteThanks for this itinerary Christian, we're off this Holiday (June 12, 2014) with my friends to Tagaytay and luckily came across your site, you just saved us from a headache planning the trip...heheheheh. We'll be doing a day-tour so your itinerary is just perfect. Thanks so much again... c",)
ReplyDeleteNo problem Anjo, enjoy exploring Tagaytay City :)
Deletebalak ko i-treat at maigala si GF dito sa tagaytay this 3rd week of JULY , natatakot lang ako bumiyahe baka magkaligaw-ligaw kami.. hope malaking tulong samin to.. sana may ma guide samin :)

DeleteVery helpful post! Complete with links pa, thank you!
ReplyDeleteHi Anne! Glad you find my Tagaytay guide helpful! Enjoy your trip :)
DeleteHi! This is so helpful! Thanks so much for posting this. By the way, can I ask for a larger copy of the Map please? We would like to use it as our guide in our adventure in Tagatay. Thank you in advance! :) - Joyce
ReplyDeleteHello Joyce, sorry I really don't have a bigger map. But still, I think this is enough to generally give you a sense of where the tourist spots are in Tagaytay :)
DeleteGaling mu naman....
ReplyDeleteThank you, were you able to use the guide? :)
DeleteHello po. Me and my friends are really excited for our Tagaytay Escapade this coming weekdays. Is 3K each enough na po ba for everything? :)
ReplyDeleteBudget would depend on a lot of things, are you going there by car? Where are you gonna eat, how much are you gonna eat? Are you going to stay overnight? Where are you going to stay. It all depends on you guys :)
DeleteNope po. Magcocommute lang po, we'll be staying in cavite, near starfish po. We can prepare our packed lunch na po.
ReplyDeleteAbegael, in that case, I think 3k is more than enough :)
DeleteHi, just stumbled on this via google since I've been looking for a good itinerary to Tagaytay and I find this very useful. Will try this out since we're planning to celebrate anniversary there. By the way, I just have a question, ito po bang itinerary na ito, are the places close to each other as they were listed.? Kasi, we plan to just commute in Tagaytay para mas adventurous. Mas ok po kasi kung malaman namin if these places are close, para hindi na pabalik-balik kung sakali. But then, thanks for the idea this post has given me. But I'll be more thankful if you could answer my question. Hehe. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Junie Ann, please refer to the map I made for the location and proximity of the tourist spots in Tagaytay :)
DeleteI see. Sorry have to ask that earlier coz I wasn't able to see the map, my bad. But thanks for the info.
DeleteNo worries! Have fun at Tagaytay! :)
Deletenice tips and guide..sana ganto lahat ng adventure guides..thanks po..
ReplyDeletebtw, updated po ba to time to time?kahit 2013 pa posted.?kasi baka may new spot na sa tagaytay.. :)
Hi Rodel, yes I do update this guide from time to time. Last update was done July 2014 :)
DeleteHi! My mom and I we're planning to spend christmas in tagaytay. I already booked for 2 nights in viewpark hotel. Can you help us in our itinerary please?? This are the places we wanted to visit sana kaya lang im not sure if magkakalapit sila.

Hi there, please check out out the Tagaytay tour map I provided above. The food places are not listed there but you can manually check it using the coordinates I also posted for each restaurant :)

ReplyDeleteok po ba magpunta ng tagaytay ng december? hindi po ba maulan?
ReplyDeleteDecember is actually the best time to go to Tagaytay, it's that time of the year when you'll really its cold weather :)
DeleteI will follow your Tagaytay Itinerary this weekend. Hoping for Best Tagaytay Experience
ReplyDeleteGood luck Jayson! Let me know how your Tagaytay trip went :)
DeleteHow much should be my budget if i am planning to visit tagaytay for the whole day? 3-4k? Will it be enough to enjoy what tagaytay offers?
ReplyDeleteThat's more than enough to see and eat in Tagaytay :)
DeleteHello Christian! Thanks for sharing this travel-guide, you are a big help to those who planned to visit Tagaytay. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteGlad my blog helped you explore Tagaytay, Carlhie :)
DeleteHello, Christian!
ReplyDeleteThanks for this travel guide,:)
This coming Christmas kc were planning to visit Tagaytay w/ my workmates:)
Hi MJ! I hope you enjoyed your Christmas Tagaytay trip :)
DeleteKumpleto Recados ... wala nang hahanapin pa : )) Kudos
ReplyDeleteSalamat Krizmae, if you can suggest some other tourist spots in Tagaytay, I'll be glad to add it here :)
Deletehi christian!
ReplyDeleteam planning to take a van to tagaytay on a friday afternoon.
saw in your article that the info about vans in egi jollibee in LRT taft corner buendia was slashed out.
does this mean they aren't found there anymore? :(
thanks!
Hi Anne, as far as I know, the vans from Buendia that goes to Tagaytay are already out of service. There are however buses near the area that serves the Tagaytay-Nasugbu route. What you can do is check out the vans if they're still there, if they're not, just take the buses right across the street. Good luck on your Tagaytay trip and let me know how it turns out. :)
DeleteHi Christian! Would like to ask on the time of van's departure in Starmall Mandaluyong.
ReplyDeleteHI Anonymous, unfortunately I have no exact schedule for the Tagaytay vans from Starmall Mandaluyong
DeleteHello Christian! I found your site while searching for info about Tagaytay, I am planning to do a day tour ...Great site and very informative. I am a Filipino and this will be my first time to be back after 25 years. I am sure ibang iba na. Thanks! from Pedro
ReplyDeleteHi Pedro, now that's interesting! I can't imagine what Tagaytay must've looked like 25 years before! Can you share your impression after your trip? :)
DeleteHello Christian! mahirap po bang ang byahe kung pupunta dyan ng Feb 14? tsaka need bang mgpareserve sa mga resto at places na pupuntahan pag mga peak seasons like Feb 14 - From Donn
ReplyDeleteHi Ralph, sorry for the late reply. I haven't really visited Tagaytay City on a Valentine's Day but I think it would be best if you reserve beforehand. How was your experience by the way?
Deletehi christian, thanks for these, sana hndi aq maligaw sa tagaytay. 1st time there :)
ReplyDeleteDon't worry Maricon, it's quite hard to get lost in Tagaytay, the place is pretty straightforward :)
DeleteThanks po for the info!
ReplyDeleteMay i ask po kung existing pa din po yung mga van terminals?
thanks po!
Hi Ver, yes the van terminals to Tagaytay are updated :)
DeleteThanks to this page very helpfull. google map at gps lng ang aming gabay para ndi maligaw haha, day2 na ngayon picnic grove etc last na p2ntahan, syempre pasalubong. Salamat!!!
ReplyDeleteGlad my Tagaytay itinerary helped! :)
DeleteThanks for this, very helpful.. You may also include this tagaytay Hotel - Summit Ridge.
ReplyDeletemeron po bang buses sa coastal mall to tagaytay nang 7am?
ReplyDeleteHi, I'm not really sure what's the earliest time the buses for Tagaytay leave from Coastal Mall. Just to be sure, you might want to head over to Edsa Rotunda below MRT Taft, where they start at 4am. They usually drop Tagaytay tourists at Magallanes Square (in front of the Tagaytay Ridge where Starbucks is located).
DeleteRegarding your PM, I recommend around 8pm for going back to Manila. Not that much commuters by that time and no more traffic too. :)
Hi! pupunta ako Tagaytay Country Homes 1 next week, di ako pamilyar sa tagaytay, anong malapit na pasyalan around that area ang pwede kong puntahan? di kasi ako pamilyar sa address?
ReplyDeleteHi, sorry I'm not that familiar with Tagaytay Country Homes, you might want to look for it on Google Maps and compare that against the Tagaytay Tourist Spot Map I posted above :)
ReplyDeleteYes, there are jeepneys in the area that can take you from one Tagaytay tourist spot to the next, just ask the driver before boarding if he's gonna pass where you're going to be sure.
DeleteHi Sir Christian. i wonder how much will it cost me if we celebrate our 1st year Anniversary in Tagaytay with my Girlfriend. Thanks
ReplyDeleteHi, your Tagaytay budget would depend on where you would book your stay and where you would eat and how many times you would eat. :)
DeleteHi Sir, meron po ba kayo idea magkano magagastos if susundin ko po yung itinerary nyo? We'll be eating what is best on the restaurants included in the itinerary. Pa exclude nalang po yung expenses for hotel and pasalubong. Thanks in advance
ReplyDeleteWithout the hotel and pasalubong, I guess 2,000 to 2,500 pesos per person would be safe enough :)
DeleteIt's a lovely post REALLY. you captured it all
ReplyDeletePlease tell me is it a good enough place to stay there with my girlfriend for 3 days.?
I am going to meet her from London for the first time. It's our 1st meeting ever
Hi Sikander, if you take it slow, three days in Tagaytay is perfect. Be sure to book in on a beautiful resort to make it more romantic. Check out the list of hotels in Tagaytay here: http://goo.gl/XMPAGX
DeleteAstig to paps. kompleto rekados na aa. sana mdmi k pang mapost na ganto. Happy New year.. Astig na site to!
ReplyDeleteSalamat! Will indeed post more travel guides in the future :)
DeleteI would like to know the bus time to travel back to manila from tagaytay. We plan to go back around evening time. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteThere are buses from Tagaytay to Manila until around 9:00 PM or so. It does get harder to get one, the later it gets.
DeleteHi
ReplyDeleteI am an Indian.I am planing a day tour to Tagatay. Leave Manila by early morning say 7 AM an then come back from Tagatay at evening 5 PM. Just wanted to visit People's park..
I have a 2 yrs old kid. Is the Bus good for us? Is the duration good?
Wow! Very precise and complete. We are about to go there in tagaytay tomorrow and your blog really helps. Kudos!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Hope you enjoy Tagaytay's cool weather :)
Deletehi. I would like to ask if the van terminals in the said locations above are still operational today
ReplyDeletethank you - Z
Hi Z, last I checked, they're still are :)
DeleteHi! Just want to check if the bus schedule above are still updated? Specifically San Agustin, 3:30am to 11:00pm? -Anthony
ReplyDeleteHi Anthony, I can't really say as buses change their schedule every now and then, but the schedule is updated as of January of this year :)
Deletehi, i am just wondering.. in your opinion, how much is will it take for a two day trip to tagaytay in average?
ReplyDeleteyour guide is amazing..
Hi, I will put up a Tagaytay budget section soon :)
DeleteHi! Do you have any idea about the frequency of fx going to tagaytay at starmall?
ReplyDeleteHi, sorry I have no idea about the frequency. If you were able to try it, please share your experience here :)
DeleteHi, Christian! I'm from Davao and my family (2 Adults and 2 Teens) will be staying in Nuvali for 2 nights next week. During our stay, we plan to have a daytrip to Tagaytay. However, I wonder if it would be possible for us to visit some points of interest without a car. Here are the places we'd like to visit:
ReplyDelete1) Church
2) Museo Orlina
3) The Puzzle Mansion
4) Sky Ranch
5) Bag of Beans (or any resto you highly recommend)
6) Memory Lane
I really hope you can help me prepare itinerary and directions so I would be able to provide an unforgettable experience for my family.
Thank you so much!
Hi, you can definitely explore Tagaytay without a car. You may board jeepneys along the highway and tricycles for the sidestreets :)
Deleteitinerary is incomplete..please include time and expenses
ReplyDeleteHi there, will update with expenses soon :)
Deletecool! perfect for our getaway tomorrow. ung gustong gusto ko sa blog na to is ung tourist guide map. thumbs up! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Camille! Enjoy Tagaytay's cool weather!
DeleteHi sir ask ko lang po kung mayroon pa din pong mga van na bumabyahe pa tagaytay sa may starmall po? thank u po
ReplyDeleteWhich Starmall? There are vans to Tagaytay from Starmall Mandaluyong
Deletenice po,, wala bang entry for job/s? im looking for work kasi.. thank you,,ang laki ng naitulong nito sa akin.
ReplyDeletehi Luiszl, you mean work in Tagaytay City?
DeleteHello po, Need advice po sana kung saan dapat unahing puntahan and sakyan sa mga lugar na pupuntahan namen sa tagaytay. We're planning to go to
ReplyDelete- PICNIC GROVE
- PEOPLE’S PARK / PALACE IN THE SKY
- STARBUCKS COFFEE TAGAYTAY
- PARADIZOO THEME FARM AND ZOO
Aside from that po wala na akong maisip na puntahan kasi hindi ko po masyadong kabisado ang tagaytay. Also any advice kung saan pwedeng kumain na magugustuhan ng mga bata yung food and place since may kasama po kaming 2 bata. Hope to see your reply soon.. That would be highly appreciated. Thank you.
Hi, for a clearer understanding of Tagaytay's layout, check the map I posted above. What you can do is start from the farthest from the left (when facing the lake) then work your way to the right. So, People's Park first, then Picnic Grove, then Starbucks Coffee (Magallanes branch), then lunch at the nearby restaurants along Starbucks (Leslie's is the usual choice), then Paradizoo :)
DeleteTanong ko lang po kung paano pauwi and Van yung way namin, saan yung terminal na malapit if yung last itinerary mo is Starbucks
ReplyDeleteHi Justhine, I'm not sure where the terminals are for vans going back to Manila from Tagaytay. My guess is at the Mendez area. My advice, take a bus going back to Manila. Much easier, since you can get one right in front of Starbucks Magallanes, and cheaper.
DeleteHi punta kami sa sunday may 21 sa paradizoo ano po best way to commute papunta doon if nasa coastal mall na kmi please help...god bless
ReplyDeleteRide a Tagaytay or Nasugbu bus from Coastal Mall, then ask the driver to drop you off at Paradizoo :)
DeleteThanks
DeleteMga magkano po kaya ang van from mandaluyong to tagaytay ? thanks
ReplyDeleteVan from Mandaluyong to Tagaytay would be more or less about 180 pesos. :)
DeleteThanks !ngayon alam ko na mga pupuntahan namin ng boyfriend ko sa tagaytay for our anniversary 😊 saang restaurant pala maganda mag dinner date ? thanks ..
ReplyDeleteHi Mari, I would recommend Sonya's Garden for a romantic dinner. Medyo out of the way, but worh it. :)
DeleteAh okay , thank you maganda ba ang view sa sonya's garden at masarap ba ang mga food ? ☺ thanks po sobra !
ReplyDeleteIt's actually a garden, but it has no view of the Taal Lake. Check my review of Sonya's Garden on the link above on where to eat in Tagaytay. Food is on the veggie side, but they also have pasta, chicken and pastries. :)
DeleteHi christian tnx for posting.
ReplyDeleteMe and my partner has 2 days to enjoy n visit tagaytay to clebrate our 7th anniv. We book a hotel at casa alegria. Does you places to visit and places to eat as listed above is along the way?
Pra sna smooth sailin lng byahe nmin balak nmin mgpnta sa bag of beans, sonyas garden, puzzle museum, and to eat at mahogany bulalohan.
Most of the places I listed are relatively near Casa Alegria. Are you bringing a car with you? Your hotel is just a bit out of the way since it's not on the main road. If you have a car, then that wouldn't really be a problem. If you're commuting, you just have to make a bit of an effort. I'm pretty sure there are tricycles that can bring you to the main road where you can catch a jeepneey to get to the tourist spots in Tagaytay.
DeleteYes sir we have car. So maybe mas convinient kung gusto namin lumabas for an outside trip? Like food trip or other tagytay attractions.
DeleteThanks for the response. :)) medyo excited na din kami ni partner. Tnx again! Godbless
Hi Aileen, no problem then! It's very easy and straightforward to go to Tagaytay's tourist spots on car. For directions, you may check the map I posted above. Also, don't be shy to ask locals for directions :)
DeleteHi! This is just perdere for a 2 day getaway!
ReplyDeleteWould you know Of any car rentals with driver abd how much it would cost on a daily basis, say 10-12hours per day?
Thanks! 😁
Hi Chacha, I'm not aware of car rental services in Tagaytay. To make sure, you may inquire at your hotel :)
DeleteHi Donnielyn, if you're coming from Manila, I suggest you book here (Taal Hike ). They have sharing options. This also saves a few hundreds since you won't have to go to Tagaytay, pick up is in Manila. After the hike, just ask the driver to drop you off to Tagaytay, if you want to stay in Tagaytay
ReplyDeleteYung mga bus bacfrom pasaya to tagaytay is 24 hours yung byahe? Thanks
ReplyDeleteHi Mitch, the buses bound for Tagaytay doesn't run 24 hours daily. As far as I know, the last trip is at 10pm. But just to be sure, please contact the bus operators on their landline :)
Deletehi kasi darating kami ng madaling araw galing davao sa mla...24hours ba ang bus papauntang tagaytay? at san kmi ssakay?thanks
ReplyDeleteIf you're coming from the airport, just ride an airport bus bound for MRT Taft, and at the back of McDonald's they have buses going to Tagaytay :)
DeleteHi Christian, thanks for this post! it helps a lot. We are planning to go to Tagaytay on Saturday. Sakto ang post mo para sa 2 days & 1 night stay namin in Tagaytay. Keep it up! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Leah, always glad to help! Enjoy your two-day trip to Tagaytay! :)
DeleteHi. Thank you po sa blog niyong to. May mga tanong po ako:
ReplyDelete1. May jeep po ba papuntang skyranch from picnic grove?
2. Ano po yung mga kainan nanmairecommend nyo yung malapit po sa picnic grove o kaya sa skyranch
thank you po more powers po!
Yes, there are jeepneys feom Skyranch to Picnic Grove. From Skyranch take an Olivarez jeep, then at the terminal, ride a People's Park jeep.
DeleteFor restaurants near Picnic Grove, I highly recommend Cafe Voi La.

DeleteHi, I'm Lester. Thank you for this wonderful blog! I guess this will be my guide this coming weekend. I know it's too much but May I ask for the directions on how to go to people's park from Picnic Groove, To mahogany market from People's Park, To Skyranch from Mahogany Market, and Last, to Starbucks Tagaytay downhill from Skyranch. Thank you so mucccch!!
ReplyDeleteHi Lester, you can just flag down jeepneys along the highway to go to these places. Just ask the driver where you're heading before going in just to be sure. :)
DeletePano po kaya ang way pag nakamotor?
ReplyDeleteYou can do the Bacoor route going to Tagaytay :)
Deletegood blog...very useful....alang taxi at grab dun ryt?
ReplyDeleteHi, there's no grab, uber, or taxi in Tagaytay yet :)
DeleteUng van ba dadaan ng sky ranch? Or smdc condo? Tnx
ReplyDeleteHi, I'm not sure if the vans going to Tagaytay will actually reach Sky Ranch or even the SMDC Condo, your best bet is to ride the bus bound for Nasugbu. But please correct me if I'm wrong. :)
DeleteHi, good day, i would like to ask how to go back to manila from tagaytay or twinlake?
ReplyDeletethank you.
Hi Justin, there are buses going back to Manila along the highway in Tagaytay
DeleteHi Sir, can you also make a comment / review of the Dreamland Arts and Crafts. Thanks in advance! You have a very good travel guide. We'll use it this Holy Week 2018 (March 29). Best regards! c",)
ReplyDeleteHi Mela, it's the first time I've heard of the place. Will feature it once I revisit Tagaytay :)
DeleteHi! Will be going to Tagaytay from Cubao! May I know ano yung mga signage ng buses na pwede ko sakyan to get there? Thank you!
ReplyDeleteHi there, look for buses with Nasugbu signage, but I don't think there are buses going to Tagaytay from Cubao.
DeleteHello po, ask ko lang pano pumunta sa hotel namin (asian villagr tagaytay) from manila via public transpo.
ReplyDeleteThank you ;)
hi to all. im one of hundreds of tour guides here in tagaytay and taal volcano and we also have our own resort/boating station.. i would like to inform all people who will read this vlog that boat rentals and tricycle fair is not the same as before, its because of petroleum hike.. ok ima go straight to the point.. im offering a full day of tagaytay city tour (peoples park, picnic grove, tagaytay zoo, manaoag church, skyranch, puzzle mansion and boating station going to taal) that starts 7am to 7pm or you can give me the time you want to start. thats for only 2,000 pesos.. and that we have our own resort/boating station im also offering our boats for 3,000 pesos/max pax of 6, back and fort that includes the environmental fee on the island.
ReplyDeleteif youre less people means you will pay less for the boats, and horses are 500/head.. and if youre planning to stay on tagaytay or in talisay near taal volcano, im the one you are looking for i can help you out searching for hotels, hostels, transient rooms, condominiums, houses for groups, you just have to give me a hint on how much is your budget for a night or even days, then i will give you all the options on how to get the perfect place for you.. thats all and thank you for this beautiful vlog.
