Starbucks Tagaytay Second Floor Open Deck

Usually, our Tagaytay Trip concludes with a steaming cup of coffee or in my case a frozen Frappucino, at the second floor veranda of Starbucks Coffee overlooking the Taal Lake.

I personally consider the Starbucks Coffee house at Tagaytay City’s Magallanes food strip as one of the top three Starbucks locations in the country along with those in Camp John Hay in Baguio and the one in Intramuros, Manila. The View From Starbucks TagaytayAlthough the store design is pretty much similar to your usual Starbucks Coffee corner, the location is what makes this branch tick.

Situated on an elevated ridge overlooking the Taal Volcano surrounded by a vast lake, the view from the second floor open deck is simply breathtaking. Be sure to wear something warm though (or order your coffee hot) as the weather here will definitely make your teeth chatter. Being located so high, it’s not uncommon for clouds to actually engulf the area.

I like having my Frappucinos here during the late afternoons to early evenings when the weather is at its finest or coldest. Well, actually the weather is at its coldest during the night, but I can hardly see the Taal Lake in the evening, so afternoon it is.

Be forewarned though, it does get pretty crowded at this coffee house though, especially on weekends. And I can definitely see the reason why; excellent coffee plus fantastic view, caffeine cloud nine.

  8. There's a new branch along Tagaytay-Nasugbu which is dubbed as the "most beautiful starbucks in the Philippines" but you are right, I still prefer this one - Starbucks Tagaytay Ridge.

For those who haven't seen the "most beautiful starbucks", my hubby took some pics which I posted here --> http://pinaymom.com/the-most-beautiful-starbucks-in-the-philippines/
