PNKY Menu in Baguio City

This would be the first time I’d be writing about a restaurant’s menu. PNKY’s carte du jour’s just so wonderful I’m dedicating a whole post about it.

PNKY Travel Café in Baguio City is best defined from the owner’s own words imprinted on the pages of their menu:

Pynky Gomez-Magsino's ForewordThe menu is more like a scrapbook / coffee table book of sorts showcasing the places Pynky’s family has traveled to than a café menu. The pages are filled with analogue photographs from her children Liana and Ben, tickets, travel postcards, foreign currencies, passports and all sorts of knick knacks accumulated through years of traveling are pasted inside its cardboard pages.

Lomographs Inside the PNKY MenuOne particular page got me glued like sticky rice on a finger is Liana’s cross-processed lomograph of the Eiffel Tower double exposed on a photograph of Belgium’s treetopped hills. Surreal is the word.
Paris France & Waterloo BelgiumAnd in between all of these are of course the food menus, both handwritten and typewritten; one can almost forget that this is a café menu after all.

PNKY is all about Travel
