DISNEY ADVENTURE CRUISE | Comprehensive Travel Guide
Friday, March 20, 2026
The Disney Adventure Cruise sailed for the first time in Asia, and we were fortunate to be among the guests on board. For five days and four nights, we explored Disney Cruise Line’s newest and largest ship. It was five days of magical entertainment, nonstop dining, and endless adventure.

There are two major sections on this Disney Adventure Cruise guide. The first is an overview about the cruise itself—what you can see, what you can do, all that stuff. While the second half tackles the hows of actually booking, planning, boarding, and disembarking the cruise.
Hopefully, this guide can help you decide if this cruise is for you. Also, let’s see if the Disney Adventure is indeed worth every single peso you spend for admission. With that, let’s get Disney cruising!
ABOUT THE DISNEY ADVENTURE CRUISE

| THE DISNEY ADVENTURE ~ PHOTO COURTESY OF DISNEY CRUISE LINES |
Disney started its cruise operation twenty years ago. It currently has eight cruise ships scattered across the Americas, Oceania (occasionally), and Asia: Disney Magic, Disney Wonder, Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, Disney Destiny, and Disney Adventure.
Disney Adventure is their newest ship and currently the largest in the fleet—twenty decks high, about twelve basketball courts in length, and three in width. With a home port in Singapore (for at least five years), it is the first Disney Cruise Line in Asia. They offer three-night and four-night voyages with no shore excursions—the ship itself is the destination. This is where we cruised on for five days and four nights.
HOW MUCH DOES A DISNEY ADVENTURE CRUISE COST?

The most important question on joining a Disney Adventure Cruise is how much does it cost? Well, it depends.
It depends on the room you’ll select and how many there are in it. Four is the magic number, so room rates can be divided on the maximum number of occupants. Plus, the third and fourth guests are usually given discounted rates.
It depends on the travel date. Usually, the farther away it is, the cheaper it is; the closer it is, the more expensive it is.
To check the current admission rates or price of a Disney Adventure Cruise, you may head to:
Disney Adventure Cruise - The official Disney Cruise Line website
Klook - Partner booking site where you can avail of additional discounts by using my code: LAKADPHKLOOK
As of this writing, the official website lists the most affordable Disney Adventure Cruise ticket at ₱30,248. While at Klook, it is listed at ₱29,830. That rate is for four persons on a three-night cruise on the cheapest stateroom available.
Another option is booking through travel agencies, which can be a lot more convenient, although more expensive.

WHAT TO SEE ON THE DISNEY ADVENTURE: 7 THEMED AREAS
Most of the fun stuff aboard the Disney Adventure is located in the seven themed areas of the ship. And with a cruise ship as large as the Disney Adventure, these areas help organize and put everything into nifty fun spaces that make it easier and memorable for cruise passengers to navigate their way around.
TOWN SQUARE (DECKS 6 & 7 MID)

Inspired by the Disney Princess films—from the classic Sleeping Beauty to Frozen—the Town Square is the ship’s main artery.
It is where the Guest Service is—in case you need some help—and the Royal Court, the ship’s central stage area where music performances and other interactive activities are held.
It has two dining halls for the Enchanted Summer Restaurant, the Olaf and Maximus dining rooms; two bars, Spellbound and Buccaneer Bar; two cafés, Bacha Coffee and TWG Tea; and two dress-up studios if you want to glitter like a Disney Princess or suit up like a Marvel superhero, the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and Marvel Style Studio. For additional sparkle, the Diamonds & Wishes jewelry store is also in the area.
SAN FRANSOKYO STREET (DECK 7 AFT)

My favorite themed area, Big Hero 6’s San Fransokyo Street, got its gritty Tokyo-meets-San Francisco feels just right.
On one side is the Big Hero Arcade, where the space is lined with video arcades and the Hamada Bot Shop, where you can have your picture taken with Baymax. At the other side of the street, camouflaged in shopfronts, are the Edge and Vibe teen clubs. And further on, past a tram where you can actually sit
inside, is the National Geographic and Duffy and Friends Shop. At the end of the alley is the Baymax Cinemas, where you can watch Disney movies for free in four cinemas. For a full theater experience, drop by the Alley Cat Café for refreshments and buckets of popcorn.
DISNEY IMAGINATION GARDEN (DECKS 10 & 11 MID)

Half of the heart of the Disney Adventure, the Disney Imagination Garden courtyard is the setting for the classic magical world of Disney. It houses Moana’s Gramma Tala’s Kitchen, Jungle Book’s Mowgli’s Eatery, the Garden Bar, and the Castle Collection plushie store. At its center is the Garden Stage, which has scheduled stage show performances like the Baymax Super Stretch, Duffy and the Friend Ship, and Avengers Assemble! On some evenings, this also becomes a party place for the Silent Disco dance area.
DISNEY DISCOVERY REEF (DECK 10 MID)

The other half of Disney Adventure’s heart, the Disney Discovery Reef, is another courtyard inspired by the underwater world of Disney—from animated classics like The Little Mermaid to Pixar’s beloved Finding Nemo.
It has five restaurants—The Little Mermaid’s Bewitching Boba & Brews, Lilo and Stitch’s Ohana Grill, Ms. Marvel’s Cosmic Kebabs, Monsters, Inc.’s Mike & Sulley’s Flavors of Asia, and Luca’s Palo Trattoria, which also has a Palo Café and the Taverna Portorosso bar. The Treasures Untold store can also be found here.
WAYFINDER BAY (DECK 10 AFT)

The Moana-inspired Wayfinder Bay features a stage—the Wayfinder Beach—which has a wading pool that can be used as a kiddie pool and a stage for shows like Moana: Call of the Sea. It is surrounded by a tiered, amphitheater-like lounge area, perfect for enjoying drinks from the Wayfinder Bar—especially on DJ nights.
TOY STORY PLACE (DECKS 17 & 18 MID)

Located on the top decks, this Toy Story-inspired area features a water park for both kids and adults—the Sunnyside Family Pool, the Toy Story Splash Pad, the Flying Saucer Splash Zone, and Woody and Jessie’s Wild Slides. On its open-air sitting area, you can watch Disney movies on two ginormous LCD screens—also perfect for munching on free snacks from Pizza Planet and Wheezy’s Freezies ice cream.
MARVEL LANDING (DECK 18 AFT)

The Disney Adventure fun rides can be found at Marvel Landing. It has three free rides—Groot Galaxy Spin, Pym Quantum Racers, and Ironcycle Test Run—with a span of 250 meters; it is currently the longest roller coaster on a cruise ship.
WHAT TO DO ABOARD THE DISNEY ADVENTURE
We never ran out of things to do during our five-day four-night cruise aboard the Disney Adventure. I actually felt that our time aboard wasn’t enough to see everything, watch all available shows, and do every activity on the ship—something seemed to be happening in every hour of the day!
WATCH BROADWAY-STYLE MUSICALS & SHOWS

There are three places where you can watch musicals and stage shows on the Disney Adventure—the Walt Disney Theater (Deck 7 FWD), the Garden Stage (Deck 10 MID), and Wayfinder Bay (Deck 10 AFT).
During our cruise, we were able to watch two Broadway-style musicals in the Walt Disney Theater featuring Goofy and WALL-E—which made Disney fans teary-eyed with joy and nostalgia. We also saw two stage shows at the Disney Imagination Garden, Duffy and the Friend Ship and Marvel Assemble—which dazzled with a swinging Spider-Man, a floating Scarlet Witch, and a Bye-Bye-Bye-dancing Deadpool. And while on the pool, several stories up on the Marvel Infinity Pool, we caught the Moana: Call of the Sea show on the Wayfinder Bay.
WATCH DISNEY MOVIES

You can watch Disney movies in the comfort of your own room, which has a catalog of Disney shows on the TV.
If you want a more outdoor experience, there are two gigantic Adventure Vision LCD screens on the top deck (Deck 17 MID) that screen Disney movies—this is perfect with the free beverages, freshly baked pizzas, and soft-serve ice cream in the area.
But if you want a real movie theater experience, the Baymax Cinema complex at San Fransokyo (Deck 7 AFT) has four mini-cinemas that can seat 30 to 50 viewers.
DRESS UP & COSPLAY

You can bring your own Disney or Marvel costume (with some cosplay guidelines for adults), or you can dress up on the ship itself. Be a Disney Princess, a knight, or a ship captain for a day at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique (Deck 7 MID) or suit up as a Marvel superhero at the Marvel Style Studio (Deck 6 AFT). Note that additional fees apply.
SWIM AND LOUNGE

There are three main swimming pools on the Disney Adventure, two splash play areas for kids, two water slides, and one exclusive pool for Concierge guests. Floatation vests are readily available for kids. Around these areas are whirlpool spas and lounge chairs where you can relax and sunbathe.
Sunnyside Pool (Deck 17 MID), the main pool at the top deck, is the largest—with a depth of 1.32 meters and a length where you can actually do some mini-laps.
The Infinity Pool (Deck 18 AFT), located on the aft side of the ship that overlooks the sea, has a depth of one meter and is designed more for lounging and wading than swimming. We frequented this pool since it has an overhead cover—perfect for sunny hours—and is more private.
The Wayfinder Beach (Deck 10 AFT), which you can see from the Infinity Pool, is a shallow wading-type pool perfect for toddlers and kids.
The Toy Story-inspired splash zones for kids can be found at the top deck: the Flying Saucer Splash Zone (Deck 17 MID) for kids under eight years old and the Toy Story Splash Pad (Deck 17 MID) for toddlers under four years old. The Woody & Jessie's Wild Slides (Deck 18 MID) can also be accessed near the area. We tried it, and it was quite an exhilarating ride!
RIDE THE RIDES

The ship’s fun rides are located at the Marvel Landing Zone (Deck 18 AFT). The Groot Galaxy Spin, an aerial carousel, and the Pym Quantum Racers, a car racing ride, are both well-suited for kids and kids at heart. Children need an adult companion for these, so no need to come up with excuses; have a ride, lol.
But the main draw of the Disney Adventure is the Ironcycle Test Run—the longest roller coaster ride on a cruise ship ever.
PLAY ARCADE AND VR GAMES

There are free arcade games at the Big Hero Arcade at the San Fransokyo Street (Deck 7 AFT): Super Fred Kaiju Chaos, Go Go Racers, Wasabi Speed Slice, and Honey Lemon Chem-Ball Blast—we particularly enjoyed that last one.
They also have a VR-esque simulator game, the Hiro Training Zone, where you run, dodge, and block obstacles on an interactive floor.
GET FIT AND PAMPERED

The Disney Adventure has a free, well-equipped gym, the Fitness Center (Deck 10 MID), that looks out over the sea. And beside it, for an additional fee, you can get pampered at the Infinite Spa - Elemis at Sea (Deck 10 MID) with massages and beauty treatments. Dry sauna, steam, meditation, and yoga rooms are also available.
For walkers and runners, there is a Running Track (Deck 18 MID) at the top deck that makes for a scenic workout.
DANCE & SING OR TAP & HUM ALONG

Let go of your inner Elsa and sing your heart out inside three Private Videoke Rooms or at the communal stage of D Lounge (Deck 7 MID). If dancing is more your thing, there are scheduled Silent Discos at the Imagination Garden (Deck 10 MID) and DJ nights at the Wayfinder Bay (Deck 10 AFT).
But if you’re an introvert like me and you simply want to tap your feet or hum along to live tunes, then there’s Tiana’s Bayou Lounge (Deck 5 MID) or the Royal Court (Deck 6 MID) for live music performances.
PLAY BINGO
There are no casinos aboard the Disney Adventure, but they have scheduled bingo games held at the Walt Disney Theater (Deck 7 FWD).
GO SHOPPING

One of the things my companions were excited for was the exclusive merch aboard the Disney Adventure. The ship has a total of at least eleven specialty shops.
World of Disney (Deck 5 MID)
The Disney shop. It has all the popular merch for Disney, Pixar, and Marvel characters.
World of Disney Too (Deck 5 MID)
Similar to World of Disney, but focuses more on new releases, limited edition items, and seasonal merch.
The Art of Disney on Demand (Deck 5 MID)
Disney prints, which can be delivered to your stateroom or, after the cruise, direct to your home.
Treasures Untold (Deck 10 MID)
Collectible and high-end items like art prints, jewelries, and designer stuff. During our visit, I spotted some Louis Vuitton and Gucci Disney bags and wallets.
Castle Collection (Deck 11 MID)
Disney character plushies. This is where you can purchase the popular magnetic plushies cruisers wear, which you can attach to your shirt.
Diamonds & Wishes (Deck 7 MID)
Fine jewelry, luxury watches, and other fine gift pieces—some exclusively Disney-themed.
Bacha Coffee (Deck 7 MID)
Alladin-inspired café featuring premium Moroccan Bacha Coffee. They also have exclusive Disney-inspired flavors like Alladin’s Wish and Alladin’s Voyage.
TWG Tea (Deck 7 MID)
Beauty and the Beast-inspired Singaporean tea shop. They also sell limited-edition Beauty and the Beast green tea.
Duffy and Friends Shop (Deck 7 AFT)
Duffy and Friends merch.
National Geographic Store (Deck 7 AFT)
NatGeo bags, shirts, and items. Some are exclusive to the ship and have Disney Adventure branding.
3 Wishes and Palace Treasures (Deck 17 FWD)
Exclusive shop for Concierge guests.
HUNT FOR ITEMS NOT SOLD IN GIFT SHOPS

Disney Sippers
A few restaurants on the Disney Adventure sell exclusive Disney sippers, which are surprisingly huge but are really cute and, I guess, very collectible. Alley Cat Café (Deck 7 AFT) has Baymax and Megabot sippers. Wayfinder Bar (Deck 10 AFT) has Moana’s Hei Hei Rooster sipper. Pixar Market Restaurant (Deck 17 AFT) has Coco’s Dante Spirit Guide sipper.

| DISNEY ADVENTURE BEER MUG ~ PHOTO COURTESY OF DISNEY CRUISE LINES |
Disney Cruise Line Beer Mug
For beer drinkers, you can upgrade your drink to a mug, and every time you go to a bar, you can present a stub, and you’d only have to pay for the beer content, and you still get to have your beer in a mug. At the end of the cruise, just present your stub again, and you get to bring home the DCL Beer Mug with you.
JOIN THE DISNEY KIDS CLUB (FOR KIDS)
For Disney cruisers who have kids, you can actually drop them at the Kids Club play areas. I especially commend the Disney youth counselors guiding the kids; my son actually wept silently as he bade goodbye on our last cruise night, saying he’s gonna miss them terribly.

It’s a Small World Nursery (Ages 6 months to 3) (Deck 8 MID)

A play area for older, toilet-trained kids with various themed spaces like Imagineering Lab, Andy’s Toybox, Marvel WEB Workshop, and the Fairy Tale Hall. Scheduled activities like storytelling, arts and crafts, science experiments, scavenger hunts, and Disney character visits make our kid always raring to go—and upon fetching, always super excited with stories of what they did.

Mickey and Minnie Captain’s Deck (Toddlers & Young Kids) (Deck 8 MID)
An unsupervised free play area for all kids where parents and kids can play together.

Vibe (Ages 14 to 17) (Deck 7 AFT)
Designed for teens, they have console games, board games, and tabletop games like ping pong and foosball. Daytime consists mostly of free play, with activities like movie nights scheduled during the evenings.
COLLECT FREE STUFF!

| DISNEY BRANCELETS AND CHARMS ~ PHOTO COURTESY OF BLISSFULGURO |
Free souvenir bracelets and charms can be claimed at the Diamonds & Wishes (Deck 7 MID) store on daily schedules. The free charms include animals, trains, anchors, ship steering wheels, flowers, and cruise ships.
Disney Adventure pin badges can be claimed at Guest Services (Deck 6 MID) for your kids, or even yourself—a little memento of your cruise. You can even attach a magnet at the back and convert it into a free fridge magnet.
Usually presented inside your stateroom upon boarding, a Certificate of First Cruise is a free personalized keepsake for those sailing for the first time on a Disney cruise. You can also request one at Guest Services (Deck 6 MID) if you didn’t get one in your room.
MEET YOUR FAVORITE DISNEY CHARACTERS

Character meet-ups with Disney, Pixar, and Marvel characters are scheduled daily throughout the Disney Adventure. Hug and have a photo with your favorite characters.
WATCH A FIREWORKS SHOW AT SEA

Get comfy at the top deck seats and watch as the evening sky lights up with the Circle of Life: The Lion King Celebration fireworks and drone show. Come early to secure a good spot. During our sailing, the fireworks were set off at the starboard (right) side of the ship near the rollercoaster area.
GO PIXIE DUSTING

A tradition on Disney Cruises, guests often decorate their stateroom doors with Disney characters—from magnets, mini plushies, and posters to Disney apparel and even Christmas lights! You can bring your own decorations or buy them at the gift shops.
Passersby who find particular doors delightful can sprinkle some pixie dust on them by putting in goodies in their bags. Some guests extend their generosity by actually giving away stuff from their door. But before taking some away, make sure that the door explicitly states that they’re giving them away.
WHERE TO EAT ON THE DISNEY ADVENTURE

There are six main dining room restaurants, two specialty dining restaurants, four quick-service restaurants, and three food booths aboard the Disney Adventure. Choosing where to eat can, indeed, be a fun challenge.
FREE MAIN DINING ROOM RESTAURANTS
Of these restaurants, the main breakfast and lunch areas where they serve buffet food are at the Pixar Market Restaurant (Deck 17 AFT) and Enchanted Summer Restaurant (Deck 6 AFT). The Navigator’s Club (Deck 6 AFT) is also open, serving plated breakfast and lunch meals.
Dinners are scheduled for guests at specific restaurants. During our cruise, we dined on the Navigator’s Club (Deck 6 AFT) twice, Animator’s Palate (Deck 5 AFT), and Pixar Market Restaurant (Deck 17 AFT). Dinners are served with three-course meals—a combination of Asian and international dishes—but you can order multiple starters, main courses, or desserts, if you wish to.

Animator’s Palate (Deck 5 AFT)
A modern dining space with director’s chairs for seating. Walls are set with flatscreen TVs showing Disney clips related to food. Before dinner is served, guests are requested to draw a cartoon character, which is scanned and shown on an animated show just before desserts are served.

Navigator’s Club (Deck 6 AFT)
An elegant dining space with a bygone-era maritime theme—art deco flourishes mirroring the ocean liners of old, vintage maps on the ceiling and table napkins. While dining, Disney characters like Mickey, Minnie, Daisy, and Donald make appearances. The restaurant is open during breakfast and lunch, serving set meals.

Enchanted Summer Restaurant (Deck 6 AFT)
Filled with decors from Tangled and Frozen, it has two dining halls: Olaf, which has an indoor feel, and Maximus, which has huge, colorful portholes overlooking the sea. It’s one of the two buffet restaurants for breakfast and lunch. They serve steaks and international dishes on the Olaf side and Asian dishes on the Maximus side—but you can get food on both sides, anyways.

Hollywood Spotlight Club (Deck 8 AFT)
With a panoramic view of the sea, the restaurant features all the glitz and glamour of Hollywood’s golden age. Expect appearances by Mickey, Minnie, Daisy, and Donald.

Animator’s Table Restaurant (Deck 9 AFT)
This is actually very similar to the Animator’s Palate restaurant, including having your drawing appear on the screens.

Pixar Market Restaurant (Deck 17 AFT)
Our favorite breakfast restaurant, each section features a different Pixar movie—from the wall decors and ceiling lights all the way to the carpet. For breakfast and lunch, they serve mostly Asian and regional dishes with a few international ones in between.
FREE QUICK-SERVICE RESTAURANTS
Located in the Imagination Garden and Discovery Reef areas, these movie-themed quick-service restaurants are open from lunch to dinner, a few even extending for late suppers.

Stitch’s Ohana Grill (Deck 10 MID)
Inspired by Lilo and Stitch, it’s a grab-and-go restaurant that offers burgers and hotdog sandwiches with an island twist. We tried their burgers and hotdogs, and they’re spectacular. Their sweet potato fries are also a must-try.

Cosmic Kebabs (Deck 10 MID)
Inspired by Ms. Marvel and her superhero fan art, you can feast on Middle Eastern kebabs, pita wraps, falafel, tabbouleh, hummus, and baba ghanoush. One of the Halal-friendly restaurants onboard the Disney Adventure. If you’re unsure on what to order, like us, just tell the friendly staff, and they’ll make a mix of everything for you. Or, you can just get the Avengers’ favorite snack, a shawarma.

Gramma Tala’s Kitchen (Deck 10 MID)
Inspired by Moana, they serve food from Asia to the Pacific—from fruits and salads to rice bowls and grilled fish and chicken.

Mowgli’s Eatery (Deck 10 MID)
Inspired by The Jungle Book, the eatery serves Indian cuisine. Vegetarian dishes are also available.
FREE FOOD BOOTHS
Located mostly on the top deck of the Disney Adventure, these food booths serve the Toy Story Place pool area and are open until the wee hours of the night.

Beverage Stations (2 at Deck 10 MID, 2 at Deck 17 FWD)
There are several beverage stations located on the ship’s open spaces. These have cold water, soda drinks, and fruit juices. Hot drinks like hot choco and teas are also available.

Wheezy’s Freezies (Deck 17 MID)
Located at the top deck, chill and relax with free soft-serve ice cream on cones. Available flavors are chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla—and you can combine all this in a swirl.

Pizza Planet (Deck 17 MID)
Also located at the top deck, it’s our go-to food place for our beer nights at the Toy Story open-air sitting area. They serve freshly baked pepperoni, four cheese, barbecue chicken, and margherita—which you can also customize to your heart’s desire.
PAID SPECIALTY RESTAURANTS
Located on the Disney Discovery Reef, these are adult-exclusive dining options featuring specialty dishes. Reservations are required, and additional fees apply.

This is especially nice if you have a balcony and want to have a private breakfast inside your stateroom while watching the sun rise or you’re having the midnight munchies. A pull-out convertible dining table is also available inside the staterooms for easier in-room dining. Tips are suggested at 1 USD or SGD per plate.
WHERE TO DRINK ON THE DISNEY ADVENTURE

There are five cafés and eleven bars and lounges aboard the Disney Adventure.
PAID CAFÉS
All cafés onboard the Disney Adventure are paid ones. A cup of coffee is generally priced at 4.00 USD. Nevertheless, complimentary Bacha Coffee and TWD Tea can be had inside your own staterooms—replenished twice daily—and in any free restaurants inside the ship if you request one.

Bacha Coffee (Deck 7 MID)
With an Aladdin-inspired décor, purchase your Moroccan Bacha coffee to take home or drink a cup right there.

TWG Tea (Deck 7 MID)
Inspired by Beauty and the Beast, they sell premium Singaporean TWG Tea, including a Beauty and the Beast green tea exclusive.

Alley Cat Café (Deck 7 AFT)
San Fransokyo Street’s funky café. It is inspired by Big Hero 6’s Aunt Cass’ bakery and coffee shop. They serve flavored popcorn for the nearby movie theater, light snacks, and beverages.

Tiana’s Bayou Lounge (Deck 5 MID)
Inspired by The Princess and the Frog, have their specialty coffees, premium teas, mocktails, and alcoholic drinks as live performers serenade you. Their beignets are a must-try.

Buccaneer Bar (Deck 6 AFT)

Infinity Bar (Deck 18 AFT)
Stylish Marvel-inspired bar serving the Infinity Pool area. They also serve superb free beef and chicken hotdog sandwiches.
DISNEY ADVENTURE ROOM TYPES
Before cruising and deciding to book a Disney Adventure Cruise ticket, let’s have a look at their room types to see which one suits your needs and, more importantly, your budget.
REGULAR STATEROOMS
The Disney Adventure has three types of regular rooms, or what they refer to as staterooms—Inside Staterooms, Oceanview Staterooms, and Verandah Staterooms. These have two basic configurations.
![]() |
| REGULAR STATEROOM LAYOUT ~ COURTESY OF DISNEY CRUISE LINES |
Regular (2 Bench Beds + 2 Upper Pull-Down Beds)
In this configuration, there are four single beds. The two parallel lower beds transform into two front-facing sofas, effectively making it a sitting area. While the other two parallel upper beds can be folded into the wall above. These are particularly good for a group of friends since each one will have their own bed. The room is spaced enough for four people, especially if the beds are undeployed.
![]() |
| DELUXE STATEROOM LAYOUT ~ COURTESY OF DISNEY CRUISE LINES |
Deluxe (Queen Bed + Sofa Bed)
In this configuration, the room has one queen-sized bed with a convertible sofa bed beside it. The sofa bed acts as a sitting area facing the flatscreen TV when undeployed. Perfect for families who won’t mind sharing beds and those with small children.

The most affordable rooms are those without windows, while the most expensive are those with a balcony overlooking the sea. Each has an en suite split toilet and bath, a flatscreen television, a vanity table, tea and coffee-making facilities, a mini-fridge, an electronic safe, and closet space.
These rooms can fit up to four guests, and for bigger groups, connecting rooms are also available. Handicap-accessible rooms are also available for each room type.

Inside Stateroom (165 sq. ft.)
The most basic room inside the Disney Adventure and also the most affordable one. It has no window, but if you’re not planning to spend lots of time inside the room and would just be utilizing it to sleep and store your stuff, then this is perfectly fine.
![]() |
| PHOTO COURTESY OF DISNEY CRUISE LINES |
Deluxe Inside Stateroom (209 sq. ft.)
The most affordable deluxe-type room. It has no window, but in my opinion, that is perfectly fine since it is relatively big for a ship cabin.

Deluxe-type rooms with a fixed porthole window overlooking the Disney Reef atrium.

Deluxe Garden View Stateroom with Verandah (253 sq. ft.)
Deluxe-type rooms with a private balcony overlooking the Imagination Garden atrium. The balcony is particularly great for watching shows on the Garden Stage.

CONCIERGE STATEROOMS & SUITES

The most luxurious rooms—and of course, the most expensive—aboard the Disney Adventure can be found on the Concierge; a mini boutique hotel of sorts inside the ship that can only be accessed by Concierge guests.

HOW TO BOOK A DISNEY ADVENTURE CRUISE

Now that you’ve seen everything the Disney Adventure has to offer and are now convinced that this cruise is indeed for you and your family, how do you actually book a cruise?
WHERE DOES DISNEY ADVENTURE DEPART FROM?
The Disney Adventure’s current homeport, for at least five years, is Singapore’s Marina Bay Cruise Port. If you don’t live in Singapore, you’d have to separately purchase a flight to Singapore.
DISNEY ADVENTURE CRUISE SCHEDULE
The Disney Adventure currently has 3-night cruises, which start on Mondays and end on Thursdays, and 4-night cruises, which start on Thursdays and end on Mondays.
Cruises start at 4PM on the first day, although you can already roam around and eat as soon as you board, and end at 7AM on the last day.

Accredited Travel Agencies
Head over to a trusted travel agency that has Disney Adventure Cruise packages. This is easier and more convenient with them doing everything, some even offering fly and cruise packages, but it is expectedly more expensive than if you book on your own. Also, if you’re not familiar with the travel agency, it is better to visit their physical office to avoid possible scams.
DISNEY CRUISE CHILD RATES
Only children 6 months and older are allowed to cruise with a parent or guardian as a companion.
For the first two guests in a stateroom, the rates are for adult guests, no matter their age. For the third and fourth guests in the same room, reduced rates apply. These reductions are further based on guests’ age. Kids 3-12 years old are charged with a child rate, while teens 13-17 years old are charged with reduced adult rates.
There are no published rates for this; some websites claim it’s about 50% off the published rates, especially if you’re booking for four in a room—two adults and two children. The best way to find out is to do a mock booking.
DISNEY CRUISE PET POLICY
All Disney cruises do not allow any kinds of pets aboard the ship. The only exception would be for trained service animals like a guide dog—which must be declared at least thirty days prior to the sailing date.
DISNEY ADVENTURE PROMOS
Before booking a cruise, be sure to check out Disney Cruise Line’s Special Offers page to get the most discounts out of your trip. Some of the promos they offer include 20% to 30% off voyage fares and free $250 on-board credits.
For those booking on Klook, you can get an extra 5% discount by using my promo code: LAKADPHKLOOK
STAYING IN SINGAPORE BEFORE THE CRUISE

If you don’t live in Singapore, booking a Disney Adventure cruise means you’d be flying to Singapore. And to maximize your ticket fare, I suggest having some extra days before your cruise date to stay and explore Singapore.
This is actually better than extending your trip after since it will ensure that you will be able to board the Disney Adventure even if your flight becomes delayed or, worse, cancelled. It’s also more economical, in a sense, since the cruise ends at 7AM. That means an afternoon or evening flight back home is achievable.
With that in mind, it would be easier to book lodging near the cruise port, somewhere where you can book a Grab car with minimal fare or some place near the MRT. Here are a few suggested lodgings:

PREPARING FOR A DISNEY ADVENTURE CRUISE

Now that you’re done booking, the next step would be to prepare for the cruise. This can sometimes be overwhelming, so I’ll list some basics.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
Passport: The most important thing you’ll need. You need this to fly out to Singapore. You also need this to board the cruise ship. Make sure that it still has more than six months of validity and blank pages.
Visa: For South East Asian countries like the Philippines, there is no need to get a visa for Singapore. For other nationalities, check if you need a visa to fly to Singapore.
Online Forms: A few days before your flight out of the Philippines, you’d need to accomplish an eTravel form. You also need to do this for your flight back to the Philippines. Aside from that, you would need to accomplish a Singapore Arrival Card, which can be done online.
Travel Insurance: While not required, travel insurance can make a possible catastrophic moment in your voyage easily manageable and compensated. It also need not be expensive; for less than a thousand pesos, Klook’s TravelJoy insurance is quite affordable.

DISNEY ADVENTURE CURRENCY
Purchasing items and paying at premium restaurants aboard the Disney Adventure does not require cash or a credit card. Instead, you just swipe your room card key, or Key to the World Card, and they would charge it to your room. The final bill will be settled on the final night of the cruise on your credit card or, if you prefer cash (you can choose which when you check in online using the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app), at Guest Services (Deck 6 MID).
The currency used at Disney Adventure is the US dollar. While you can opt to use a credit card to settle your bills aboard the ship, using cash would require exchanging your local money to US dollars. You will, of course, lose out on the conversion, so if you have US dollars, bring it with you. This is also great for giving out tips for the cruise staff.
There are no currency exchange services and ATMs aboard the Disney Adventure.
INTERNET CONNECTION
Before boarding the Disney Adventure, stay connected by purchasing affordable e-sims for your phones—this can help you navigate the streets of Singapore better and connect with your companions.

ONLINE CHECK-IN
A week or so before boarding, Disney Cruise requires passengers to download the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. This would be your online guide while on the ship as to the activities happening during the cruise and where you will actually dine every night.
The app will also let you check in online before you cruise—a required step to board the cruise ship. It is easy and painless; just register an account, input your reservation number, then follow the instructions.
COLLATE EVERYTHING ON YOUR PHONE
Save a screenshot or PDF document of your flight tickets, hotel bookings, and all the documents mentioned above, label them properly, and transfer a copy to your own and your companion’s phone for easy, hassle-free, and seamless travel.
WHAT TO BRING ON A DISNEY CRUISE

Pack the essentials and leave all else behind; cruise cabins are not as big as standard hotel rooms. Also, make sure you have room enough in your bags for souvenirs to bring back home.
CLOTHES
For the Ship: Casual and fun clothes paired with comfortable sandals or shoes for roaming around the ship. You will walk a lot.
For Dinner: Smart casual, fit for Disney Adventure’s elegant dining areas.
For the Pool: Bring any appropriate swimwear and sandals
For the Gym and the Running Track: Bring appropriate workout clothes.
For Cosplaying: Kids can dress up in costumes all throughout the cruise, but adults have certain guidelines for dressing up in costumes.
- Masks can only be worn when standing still at photo locations; they can’t be worn during the boarding process
- No offensive or violent costumes
- No props resembling guns or knives
TOILETRIES
Soap & Shampoos: Dispensable body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion with a Disney Sea Salt brand (previously H20+ before Disney bought it) are provided for, but if you have a preferred brand, bring your own.
Toothbrush & Toothpaste: These are not provided for, so bring your own.
Razors & Shaving Creams: Also not provided for; bring your own.
Wet Wipes or Portable Bidets: All the toilets on the Disney Adventure aren’t fitted with a bidet.
GADGETS
Cameras: DSLR, mirrorless, action cam, phone cameras, film cameras, or any camera to document your Disney Adventure cruise.
Chargers: For your phone, cameras, smartwatches, etc.
Earphones / Headphones
DOOR DECORS
If you wish to join in the Disney Cruise Pixie Dusting tradition, bring lots of Disney decors and magnets to pin them with. Using tape adhesives is prohibited.
FOOD STUFF
Chips: If you can’t live without your potato chips, you can’t purchase one onboard, so bring some.
Alcoholic Drinks: Since beer and other spirits are quite pricey on the ship, you can bring a limited amount with you in your hand carry—six 325ml cans of beer or two bottles of wine each for adult passengers.
Water Flask: A small one to use on the free beverage stations helps avoid wastage and keep your drinks cold or warm as you explore the ship.
MEDICINES
While there is a dedicated clinic (Deck 9) on the ship, it helps if you bring your own meds. If you have a doctor’s prescription for it, bring a copy too.
WHAT NOT TO BRING ON A DISNEY CRUISE: PROHIBITED ITEMS

To avoid the hassle of your stuff being confiscated and being fined, sometimes knowing what not to bring is as important as knowing what to bring.
Foodstuff: Any fresh meat, vegetable, or fruit product. Homemade, pre-cooked, and other perishable items.
Electronics: Drones, extension cords, heating devices, bottle warmers, vaping products
Electrical Plug Travel Adaptor: The ship’s sockets can accept multiple plug types, and just in case yours doesn’t fit, they have an adaptor ready in each room.
Illegal Items: Firearms, knives, whips, or any kind of weapon. Controlled drugs and illegal substances.
Other items: Sports equipment, balloons, candles, musical instruments
HOW TO GET TO THE DISNEY ADVENTURE CRUISE TERMINAL

The Disney Adventure docks at the Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore, and it can easily be accessed using ride-hailing apps like Grab, city buses, and Singapore’s MRT. For buses and trains, you can purchase an EZ-Link card or simply tap in and out using your credit card.
By Ride-Hailing Apps: There are several of these in Singapore: Grab, Ryde, Gojek, Zig, and Tada. Pin the Marina Bay Cruise Centre as your destination.
By Train: Take the MRT Red Line to the Marina South Pier MRT Station (NS28). From there, you can take the Bus Service 400 or walk for 600 meters to the port (about ten minutes).
By Bus: Take the Bus Service 400 that will take you straight to the cruise center.
HOW TO CHECK-IN AT THE DISNEY ADVENTURE CRUISE TERMINAL

Before going to the cruise port, be sure that you have already checked in at the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app and you already have your Port Arrival Form, where your QR codes are saved, on your phone.
STEP-BY-STEP CHECK-IN PROCESS
1. Arrive at the Marina Bay Cruise Center before your scheduled check-in time
2. Have your Port Arrival Form QR codes ready; they will scan it
3. Line up to scan your baggage on the x-ray machines
4. Document check at designated counters
5. Pass through Automated Immigration Lane
6. Walk up to the cruise ramp towards the ship
7. Enter the Disney Adventure and prepare to receive a grand welcome
8. Head to your designated stateroom; your keycard will be posted by the door
BAGGAGE CHECK IN
If you have checked-in baggage, it will be sent inside your stateroom later. So, make sure that you have all your documents and other essentials in your hand-carry luggage—including a change of clothes if you need to freshen up.
ROOM ACCESS CARD
Your Disney Adventure room access card is extremely important—it’s not called the Key to the World for nothing. It is, primarily, the key to your room. And secondarily, your wallet—you can use it to purchase anything aboard the ship, pay for food in premium restaurants, cafés, and bars, and even for free arcade games.
If ever you lost your card, make sure to head over to Guest Services (Deck 6 MID) so they can immediately void it and make you a new one, free of charge.
ON-BOARD WI-FI INTERNET
There is free WiFi Internet aboard the Disney Adventure Cruise, but it is limited to using the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app and basic messaging on iMessage and WhatsApp. For full Internet service, they have two paid plans, which you can purchase on the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app > Connect to the Internet.

DISEMBARKATION

Sad as it is, the Disney Adventure will be over before you know it—time indeed flies when you’re having fun. But before disembarking the next day, be sure to do these things.
PACKING AND LUGGAGE CHECK-IN
Pack the night before the cruise ends. This is harder than packing before the cruise since you now have extra stuff to pack, and most probably, everything’s already a mess. Don’t wait until the final day before you pack; you won’t finish in time.
Ready the bags that you would be checking in and leave those outside your door that same night—properly labeled with the provided baggage tags. You can claim it again the next day after the immigration counter on the ground floor of the cruise port.
OUTSTANDING BALANCES
If you selected cash for your onboard expenses, you would need to settle them at Guest Services (Deck 6 MID). If you selected credit card for your onboard expenses, then you don’t need to do anything; your extra spendings will simply reflect on your credit card bill.
DISEMBARKATION
Disembarkation at the Disney Adventure starts at 7 AM.
But before that, you can head over to any of the three breakfast places to have your last meal aboard the ship. You can opt to bring your luggage or simply leave it inside your room and get it when you’re ready.
We were actually assigned to have our breakfast at the Navigator’s Club, but seeing their plated breakfast options, we asked if we could transfer to the Enchanted Summer buffet restaurant, which was no problem at all. Another good thing about having your breakfast there is it’s closer to the disembarkation area. So, if you already have your bags with you, you can chill and eat while waiting for your turn to disembark.
To finally disembark, wait for your luggage tag character to be called, then head to the disembarkation level at Deck 7.
DISNEY ADVENTURE PRACTICAL CRUISE TIPS
Collected here are some tips I’ve personally discovered during our four-night Disney Adventure cruise.

Choosing The Best Restaurant For Breakfast And Lunch
Unlike on other cruises where you have to choose a particular restaurant for meals—and transferring once you have swiped your access card isn’t allowed—at the Disney Adventure, you can have your breakfast and lunch multiple times in any of the inclusive restaurants. Go easy on the food, though; your tummy has a very limited space relative to the available food on the cruise.

Best Place To Eat At The Pixar Market Restaurant
The Pixar Market Restaurant is one of our favorites for breakfast and lunch. And we have two particular tables we gravitate to that aren't as crowded—since they are a bit of a walk from the main entrance—and have a panoramic view of the sea. These are the round tables on the Cars area, located at the two aft-most corners of the ship.

Unlimited Three-course Meals
Dinners are usually served with a starter, a main course, and a dessert. Most people don’t know it, but you can actually order more than one starter, main course, and dessert. We sometimes skip the starters if we don’t find anything we like and head straight to the mains—requesting more than one meal from the choices.

Secret Dessert: The Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bars
Unlisted on the dessert menu for dinners, the Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bars can be requested as your actual, or additional, dessert after your meal. These are usually served in a bowl with sprinkles—sometimes, the sprinkles themselves are Mickey-shaped!

Exploring The Ship From Top To Bottom
One of the best ways to explore all the nooks and crannies of the Disney Adventure is by walking every walkable inch of it, from top to bottom or bottom to top—whatever works for you, but I do find top to bottom easier since I take the stairs going down. Well, it does take a bit of stamina, but that is how I usually do it on other cruises. With this, you definitely won’t miss any spots.
A tip for quickly knowing whether you’re heading to the forward or aft side of the ship, check the Mickey Mouse icons on the hallway carpets, if it’s correctly facing you, then you’re headed to the forwards side of the ship.

Bringing In Alcoholic Drinks
As I mentioned previously, according to the Disney Adventure Alcohol Policy, adult guests 21 years of age can bring a total of six regular cans of beer or two bottles of unopened wine not more than 750 ml. These should be brought to the ship within your handcarry bag. If you check this in, it would be confiscated.

Smoking On The Cruise
There are three smoking areas on the Disney Adventure. The first one is at the Deck 7 forward starboard (front right) side of the ship. The second one is at the aft portside (back left) of Deck 18. The last one is at the Deck 17 of the Concierge Lounge, however, this area is exclusive for Concierge guests only. Smoking in any other parts of the ship, including private balconies, is prohibited.
Cigarettes can be bought at the Infinity Bar (Deck 18 AFT) with only two variants—Marlboro Red and Marlboro Lights. It is more economical to actually buy here instead of in Singapore since a pack only costs around 7.00 USD, compared to the 20.00 SGD retail price in Singapore.
Ran Out Of Fresh Clothes?
If for some reason you mispacked and ran out of clothes to wear, the ship has a 24-hour self-service laundry, the Fairy Tale Laundry (Deck 16 MID). You can use your Key to the World card to operate washers and dryers and purchase detergents and dryer sheets. Rates are at 3.50 USD per wash and per dry cycle.
Got Sick On The Cruise?
For medical needs and emergencies, there is a Medical Clinic (Deck 9) onboard the Disney Adventure with 24/7 doctors and nurses on call. Additional fees apply for use of the facility. If you have insurance, you can claim it after disembarking from the ship.
FINAL THOUGHTS

After five days of cruising, can I justify the cost of joining the Disney Adventure? Without a doubt, yes. Everything—from the rooms to the seven themed areas, the dining halls, the food, and the entertainment—is more than worth the price of admission.
This holds especially true if you’re traveling with kids, a Disney fan, or even not a fan at all. It’s simply an incredibly enjoyable five-day experience. And even then, five days aren’t nearly enough to explore everything the Disney Adventure has to offer. Definitely a cruise to beat. Highly recommended.
