I received an e-mail invitation some weeks back to guest on a radio talk show. I was on a quandry on what to do. I’m really not that fond of seeing and hearing myself on any kind of media and the fact that the show would also be webcasted did not sit comfortably with me.

The show, Biyahe at Gimik, by DZAR 1026 Sonshine TV-Radyo has been around since the station’s inception in 2005. The concept of interviewing traveler bloggers throughout the country however had only started a few months ago. With all-star appearances from Gael of The Pinay Solo Backpacker, James of Journeying James, Allan Barredo of Lantaw, Chino of JuanderfulPinoy and other notable travelers; I’m still wondering why they chose me to be on the show. The closest reason I can think of is someone probably backed off at the last minute haha.

Not wanting to appear big-headed and a snob, I finally mustered all my strength and replied a yes to the invite.
