It was drizzling as we wended our way through Boracay's narrow alleyways. It was our last day on the island and after our hectic tour around Ilig-Iligan and Puka Beach, zip-lining across Boracay Fairways, and jetskiing our way across the rolling waters of Laguna de Boracay, it was finally time to relax.

RAINY MORNING AT THE BORACAY WHITE BEACH

For three nights, we stayed at the Crown Regency Resort and Convention Center, and while they do offer spa services, we wanted to relax near the beach; Boracay's White Beach, in particular.

Our feet led us to Bella Isa Spa, a small outfit offering massages, spa, and scrubs right by White Beach's Station 3. We've pre-booked our appointment via Klook Travel, an online service offering tours and activities for travelers, for a two-hour combined Shiatsu and Swedish massage.

Partnering with local tour outfits, their prices are surprisingly very competitive (our Boracay Spa Massage Package was set at only PHP840.00, cheaper than if you would actually book right at the spa!) and the range of activities offered per location are also quite varied. We previously thought of availing Boracay's parasailing but ultimately found the two-hour spa to be irresistible.

We arrived at Bella Isa Spa as the heavens decided to finally pour. Quickly, our feet were washed by their attendants at the patio before being led inside. Presenting our Klook voucher, we were asked to choose our preferred oil, most of which has very local flavors, and were immediately led into their dimly lit massage rooms.

FINALLY, TWO-HOUR MASSAGE!

The mood was typical of most spa, soothing music pervading the softly lit tropical-themed interiors. Soon, I was stripped to my boxers and firm sure hands started caressing my back muscles, untying knots, soothing old aches. I lost track as to when my eyelids fell and my mind lost consciousness. To dreamland, my mind wandered, relieving and easing the flurry of activities of the past days. A perfect way to end our Boracay trip.
