One of the things I look forward to when in Baguio is Veniz Hotel’s buffet breakfast. There are times though that their breakfast were just set meals if there’s not much guests checked in at the hotel; good thing there were a lots during our last visit, so buffet it was!

If my memory serves me right, the price for a buffet breakfast at Veniz Grill is at Php180 per person but it’s free if you’re staying at Veniz (first day only, consecutive ones are not, but price is discounted).

They serve typical Filipino breakfast fares; fried rice, eggs, garlic longanisa, corned beef, pancit canton, spaghetti, shanghai spring rolls, dangit, tuyo, pancakes, pan de sals, fruits, cereals and salads. Unlimited coffee and juice are also available.
I’m quite happy with their dishes except for their corned beef, which was of the reddish type; typical of the carne norte’s from a can. I wish they’d change brand or just buy the real uncanned ones being sold at the market. I also wish they’d serve garlic longanisa’s more often.

I can’t recall if this was the case during our previous breakfast at the grill but during this last one, the buffet food was cold. I know we’re in Baguio and everything gets cold quite fast, but there’s a reason why buffet trays have burners underneath. I checked them and they weren’t even on.

Aside from that little thing, I did have a grand and sumptuous breakfast at Veniz Grill; I felt I consumed enough carbs to burn for two whole days.
